Maybe I'm wong, but I thought that anagrams were like MOM. Spelled in the same order just backwards.

Yup mandy, you are "wong". What you are referring to is a palindrome, which has the same spelling both forwards and backwards. An anagram is where one word (or group of words) contains the same letters as another word (or group of words) but in a different order (eg. eat, ate, tea).
