Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
What is so special about the following words?
stewardesses and polyphony
Answer
Using correct touch typing techniques of home keys 'asdfjkl;' on a qwerty keyboard, stewardesses is the longest word you can type with just your left hand, and polyphony with just your right hand.

| This teaser is wrong:
The longest actual word for the left hand is: aftercataracts
Well, if you want a "common" word, then stewardesses or reverberated both work.
With the right hand, leterally, you can use hyphens. So, the longest "word" would be johnny-jump-up (a plant).
If you are picky, and don't want hyphens, then polyphony is the longest. |
