Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
There once was a race horse named Lucky 13. It had never won a race. But one day this horse won the race by a long shot. If the jockey never told how the horse won the race nobody would have known. How did the horse win?
Hint
Think of the weather.Answer
It was foggy and the horse just moved up to the finish line and waited. When the fog cleared everybody thought the horse had won.Hide Hint Show Hint Hide Answer Show Answer

I was gonna say that it was icy and the horse slid all the way to the finish line first but then again im just a thick lil girl
They'd cancel the day's races if it was THAT foggy.
Im a horse person and it just doesnt seem realistic. More like impossible,.
OK that would never happen! ever! if the day was that foggy, the races would be canceled for safety reasons... imagine thousand pound+ horses hurtling down a track so foggy that they couldn't even see the horse standing at the finish line, let alone each other, it's just a life threatening accident waiting to happen!!! besides, the gate officials who load the horses into the starting gate would notice if the horse was missing from the gate and standing at the finish line, and they would know it was a cheated race! and also, anyone that saw the horse at the finish line would know it hadn't just been hurtling along at a gallop faster than all the other horses if he was just standing! Not a very logical teaser. A much more plausible answer that went with the hint would have been that it was raining and the track was sloppy and the "Lucky 13" horse liked to run in the mud and some of the other faster horses slipped... isn't that a bit more logical???
By the way, winning by "a long shot" doesn't mean he won by a lot, just that he won against all odds.
huh?
