Snow White
Logic puzzles require you to think. You will have to be logical in your reasoning.
Recently, Snow White's seven dwarfs met up with three of their friends and went to the cinema to see Bambi. From the clues below, can you determine the order in which they stood in the ticket queue?
Grumpy was in front of Dopey. Stumpy was behind Sneezy and Doc. Doc was in front of Droopy and Happy.
Sleepy was behind Stumpy, Smelly and Happy.
Happy was in front of Sleepy, Smelly and Bashful.

| Cute puzzle. I'm surprised they didn't bring Snow White along to buy the tickets for the rest of them so they all didn't have to stand in line... but then we wouldn't have a puzzle! If you were a dwarf you could be Smarty. |

| I would give you an honest comment on the teaser, but it seems that only positive material is allowed, and no one wants to hear anything negative mentioned at all. Imagine that?! A site which will jump upon anyone giving an honest rating of a teaser. One day, others will realize their is a real world out here. Have an imaginative day, ALL! |

| Oh, and the teaser was fairly good. |

| I loved it! Had fun solving it!
An honest opinion of any teaser is always allowed. Nothing wrong with saying you don't care for an aspect of any puzzle so long as you say it in a constructive way rather than offensively.
I appreciated IMurray's comment. It was nice to see he liked a teaser. He wasn't saying only positive answers are "allowed", just that he expects we'll only see good comments because he felt the teaser was a good one. I agree! |
Badger
Oct 17, 2006
| I think you missed it on this pizzaz2u. I don't believe that comments should only be of the positive affirmation type, but I do believe that you can be constructive without being rude, honest without being disrespectful, and appreciative of the hard work that many put in to their submissions... I also believe that constantly typing in ALL CAPS is the universal email code for ANGRY. For supposedly "smart" people, some just don't get it. I also resent people on this site having multiple logins to back themselves up, because they're the lone voice in the wilderness... I'm starting to think that pizzaz2u is yet another alter ego of murray (if that's incorrect, blame murray for his games). At least Learningchinese knew where the shift lock button was. I like this site, and I'd like to stay, but some people need to take the cotton out their ears, and stick it in their MOUTH! If you hate the teaser, say it. If you love it, say it. But respect the people that have submitted teasers for their efforts... I'm the smartest guy I know (just ask), but one thing I have learnedin life is humility. CONSTANTLY BIT*HI@G (rhymes with witching) is clearly demeaning to the submitter, and more importantly, rude to the good folks that are here for fun and to learn. |
jcann
Oct 17, 2006
| Imurray can't say anything good, bad, or indifferent, without someone commenting on it (usually negatively). Why is that? I'm getting annoyed by it.
Good teaser! I commented on it in '05. |

| My apologies to you, katey. But actually, Badger, you seem to miss the point. I am trying to get a point across, about not commenting on comments. If your community would suggest to others about how to be... *ALL of the time positive* and not suggest about trying to get tougher or more imaginative teasers, we would all be better. Besides, if you look at the comment I made, up the way, it mentions *no one's name or their grading. I am trying to see what your rules are for, for commenting. I can enjoy ALL of the teasers, but I am making a suggestion. You need to check your *point*, youngster. My apologies, if the comment sounded rude. |
Badger
Oct 17, 2006
| Pizzazz2u: My apologies if I "went off" on you. If you go back on comments, you'll see that I'm consistently a gentleman, and would rather comment on the teaser, and not on the folks' comments that are consistently negative and demeaning to submitters and visitors... Nuff said.
Good job Katey... Thanks for submitting! |

| So many comments made without really reading what was said beforehand, but what does it matter if I comment on that now? How many people will come back and read what was said after them in the comments? Probably approximately zilch.
Anyways, since all this chatter about other posters is pointless (and is probably almost ALWAYS pointless), maybe I should comment on the teaser itself -- what a novel idea!
I thoroughly enjoyed this teaser, though I did spend about half an hour. I made a table... and I copied and pasted the clues into a text document so I could modify them to remove dwarves after I've already figured out where they are. I'm starting to learn that tables aren't always the best way to approach logic problems....
Upon reading about the shuffling of names around on pieces of paper, I had to try it!! It took five minutes!! Good job, whoever thought of that!
And good job, maker of this teaser! |

| And call me IMpatient!! I gave up too quickly, overwhelmed by my everchanging list of names! If I'd been less DOPEY, I might have also come up with the truly brilliant idea of using separate pieces of paper with the names on them; that would have been FUN to figure out instead of FRUSTRATING! Congrats to the poster. |

| Great puzzle! I enjoyed the study break/ distraction from my philosophy homework. I had to open a word document and use a grid with X'a as process of elimination but I eventually got it. I will say it was a bit unnerving to have several clues repeated ("Sleepy was behind ... Happy" followed by "Happy was in front of Sneezy" and "Bashful was behind ... Sleepy" then "Sleepy was in front of ... Bashful") but still GREAT fun. Keep em comin! |
