During a recent school reunion, four men were discussing their starting salaries back in 1962. The salaries in question were, 8, 10, 12 and 14 thousand pounds per year.
Of course the MP earned the most.
Alan earned more than Brian and the doctor earned more than Derek, the vet.
Charles could not remember what he started on.
Brian, the lawyer, did not start on £10,000 nor did Derek.
Can you determine who has which job and their starting salaries?

Great!!!! kinda easy though. i don't c the point in the clue "Charles can't remember what he started on". but it's a great teaser anyway. I LOVED IT!
This is probably a really dumb question, forgive me, but what exactly is an MP? Besides that, this was an awesome logic puzzle. Lots of fun.
An MP is a Member of Parliament. They're like the government in the UK so its not dumb if ur a person in a different country.
Nice & Easy. Good job.
I thought MP meant military police, but I'm from the U.S, so....yeah. That's why I didin't understand why he would obviously make the most. This teaser was pretty easy and I didn't get why "Charles couldn't remember what he made" was even a clue, but it was still fun.
great 1 it usually takes me 4 ever 2 get these but i love them this one was ez to get but keep em comin!!!!!!
The clue that "Charles couldn't remember...." nailed it for me that Charles was the doctor in the preceeding clue. Great job
Nice and easy one.. just what I needed after the last two I did that made my head bleed. Thanks!
Poor Charles.....
yeah I didn't get understand the Charlie clue either, but it didn't matter because I didn't end up needing it anyway.
This was ez but fun! I'm thinking the Charles clue was just to get his name in there. I know there have been alot of complaints from people who don't use the grid about not having all the info in the clues. Why they can't just open the grid to get the info is beyond me. but anyway...great job!!!
I suspect the "Charles" clue was there to simply distract and confuse, if that were the case, it seems to have worked,
