Three men (Ben, Frank, and John) and two women (Kellye and Margaret) were in a crossword puzzle solving contest. They each were working on a different themed puzzle (Asia, History, Medicine, Television, and War) with different types of writing implements (black ink, blue ink, green ink, red ink, and pencil) and each took a different amount of time to finish (3 minutes, 4 minutes, 5 minutes, 6 minutes, and 7 minutes). Who was working on what puzzle, with what implement, and how long did it take them?
1. Ben, who did the Asia puzzle, took 1 minute longer than Margaret, but 1 minute less than the person who did the History puzzle.
2. Kellye took longer than the person who used blue ink, and she didn't use black ink.
3. Frank, who didn't use blue ink, took less time than the person who used red ink.
4. The person who used a pencil didn't solve their puzzle in the least amount of time, but did solve it in less time than the man who solved the puzzle about Television.
5. The person who used red ink solved their puzzle in less time than the person who used black ink.
6. The woman who used green ink did the War puzzle, but did not solve it in the most amount of time.

Ben used blue ink to complete the Asia puzzle in 4 minutes.Frank used a pencil to complete the History puzzle in 5 minutes.

Margaret used green ink to complete the War puzzle in 3 minutes.

I loved it although i was just excited to get it right it took me like 15 min to figure it out good job!!!
WOW! I really struggled with this one! Great job! I thought I finally had it right and I switched John & Kellye's puzzles Oh well, a lot of fun, though.
Ok, so I cheated. I'm ok with that.

Good Job!!!! I think the people who rated this as easy or moderate are definitely not human I had it down to Frank and Kellye for television and medicine and could not figure it out until I went back and read the clue and saw that it was a MAN who solved the puzzle about television, that was a lock. Again, Good Job, Phrebh!!!!!!
Fun to work. Went through it on paper and used the grid and that helped.

Good challenging puzzle. Nice to not have all the answers given to me in the first read through. First time I read it, I had to say "that's it-that's all the help I get? HA HA!!
That was really challenging. I switched a couple of the people and games. Great job!

In case any of you were wondering, the hidden theme of this puzzle is the television show, MASH.
Great Puzzle, the funny thing is I finished it while watching M*A*S*H. Unfortunately, my son changed it almost immediately. Great show and Great Puzzle. Thanks
great puzzle! I had to go over the order of things and work the grid quite a bit, but I finally got it! Took me 20 mins!
Easy puzzle but really enjoyable to solve!
