What is so odd about the words dismantlement and neuroticisms when typed on a standard QWERTY keyboard, with proper hand placement?

YAY! I'm first to comment! lol. This was really fun! I didn't get the answer though. But it was still fun!
I got it, fun, keep these coming
I don't get the "QWERTY" part. It is part of the top row, but has nothing to do with this teaser Good one though
a "QWERTY" keyboard is just a normal keyboard.
I guess BigSwaff was trying to specify the keyboard cos AWERTY keyboards also exist, I think in France. Anyway, it was fun and having learnt typing, I figured it out too!
You got me.... and I KNOW how to type!! I think I was looking for a something more complicated!!! LOL
Brainser, it's learned son.
I don't think it was that great, but good effort

I thought something along those lines...
very easy to get alternating hands but didnt know they were the longest words! i cna tell you put time into this! good job!
That was pretty obvious even before I typed them out on the keyboard that we all probably have right in front of us. But how do you know they are the longest? I had to check the answer when I read that. Did you run a computer check?
I stopped when it became obvious that they were words that alternated left and right hands. How is anyone supposed to figure out that they also are the longest words of that type? Maybe with a room full of monkeys on typewriters....
I agree with metallicaman. Great job, with little effort. entertaining????
Oh yes, the old left, right, left, marching on to Georiga. Typing 101 exercise.
It was easy but it was still cool...
its the easiest thing ever
Geeeee, according to so many of the comments, I guess I'm the only idiot in the room, because I simply had *no* idea what the answer was, and I even opened up a 'new' email and typed the words over and over again!! Guess it's been waaayyy too long since I was in school in typing class!!
It certainly was fun though, I didn't find it to be boring at all!

It was easy but fun. Thanks.
good one...i got it right away
I got the alternating finger part, but it didn't even occur to me that they were the longest. Good job Swaff...again.
wow... i would have never got that!!! I'm pretty stupid
Interesting trivia... not sure it fits the language catagory.
What is up with Imurray?? This site is meant to be fun. Head someplace else for all your nasty comments. Or make up some of your own puzzles, this was fun.
Is it true that STEWARDESSES is the longest word typed by the left hand?
well, personaly i just thought it was a cool fact more than a teaser, but it was still pretty cool
I didn't see anyting so bad about this teaser, it was fun and enlighting, and yes as far as I know STEWARDESSES is the longest you can type with the left hand.

I belive that Typewriter is the longest word that you can type with just the top row of keys.
tricky tricky...i didnt get it, but it was a good teaser...
i got the left and right part but it never occured to me that they were the longest ! but great job anyway it looks like you put a lot of effort into making this teaser!
I found a longer left-hand word:
SWEATERDRESSES
SWEATERDRESSES
umm...okay. Kinda boring, but good effort!
I agree with mimigolfer ... lmurray needs a new playground. It's great how other commenters added additional fun quirks about the keyboard.
pretty easy. kind of like how lollipop is the longest with just your right hand. i don't remember which was the longest left hand word, but it was pretty long.
anyhow, good teaser. i loved it.

i don't even get it
that was seriously awesomely dude!!!!!!!!! seriously cool, man. going it to my favorites. keep 'em comin!!!!

Actually, polyphony is the longest with just the right hand
aftercateracts is the longest with the left hand, but stewardesses or reverberated are the most common.
The longest word typable using only the top row of letters is not typewriter, as is assumed by many: proterotype and rupturewort are longer, though not in common usage.

This was a fun fact! I liked it! (even though I didn't get it)
bigSWAF - you must be a keyboarding teacher or something to know all this keyboard stuff! Thanks for enlightening us!
I don't know about "teacher" (I'm only 13), but I can find alot of stuff out at Wikipedia (The info. for this teaser, and many other things)

For clarity you might want to consider placing the two words in "quotations." Initally I thoght you were being wordy...
That was cute. After a few of the QWERTY teasers that I have seen on here, this is the first one that I have gotten
Im not getting it. I think I have been working too long
I thought this was more of a trivia question and less of a brain teaser myself.
Cute trivia, But not really up to par with most I've seen here. Hope youtry again though.
I've "tried" 61 other times, if that counts
You can check out my other teasers, and see if they are "up to par".

Isn't that interesting...now I'll know that every time I casually bring up the word "dismantlement" and "neuroticisms" in an email, no? ;) Too good! Keep it up!
Teasers are meant to be fun, funny and sometimes hold some mysterious solutions, or facts, but come On. Typing? I can not tell a lie. The Teaser was better than what I can do.........
