Nice one, I should have got it... I was thinking of something radioactive that would decay over time... (not that you'd want to put it in your pocket)

Great teaser. I think many inventions have changed to a smaller size over time. Computers are one of them, but televisions and the phonograph (now ipod) have changed too! Thanks for the teaser! Keep up the good work!
Good one. I was stumped...
Simple!
This was easy. I remember well when computers had to be in a special climate controlled room. Thank goodness that isn't still the case, or none of us would be able to enjoy Braingle today.

Not bad; I was thinking of a dollar's worth of groceries; a more descriptive title would have helped.

That was a smart teaser. After a few minutes, I figured it out. I remember when they were as big as a room. Huge monsterous machines. Made you think of Big Brother watching you. Thanks for the teaser. I loved it.

OH MY GOD I LOVED THIS BRAINTEASER CUZ I COULD FIGURE IT OUT!!!!!!!!
I immediately thought of my college days (1956-60) when we were amazed that our school (a small private college) got a computer. It took almost the entire basement of one of our dormitories! The riddle was easy, but fun--especially for the memories.
Ahh... the old times. I remember from my classes about a huge computer like this. Now, they can fit in your pocket using nano- technology! You should add that in the answer.
got it straight away but still a good one thanks
clever!!!
I knew it! Good quiz tho!!
That was a good one. Brought back old memories at the IRS data processing center in 1963.
Got it!! Yeah!!
i thought the very first computer was basically a calculator, so that was my answer. not bad thoughhh.
Nice one, I got it right away though. Even though I wasn't around when they were that huge.
Easy
EASY !!!
you got me there... great teaser
Easy - I got it right. Good one. Keep 'em coming. Thanks!
Haha! I totally just had a mental image of the original Star Trek bridge, with all its little spinny things and whistles... This one was easy to get, but the mental transition from what computers were to what they've become is great.
It could also be a phone
