Cruisin'
Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
On a riverside town, four vacationing families tied their cabin cruisers near various riverside pubs.
From the clues given, can you give the name of the families, the names of their boats, the pubs their boats are tied to, and the position of the pubs?
(Note, the pubs are in a row, and numbered 1-4 from upriver to downriver.)
Clues:
1. The Marches' boat is tied near the Triomph, which is farther downstream than the pub where the Helmsway is tied.
2. The cabin cruiser Kestrel is alongside the jetty at the Cat's Eye.
3. The 3rd pub is called the Blue Moon; the boat tied up there, which is not the Smithon family's vessel, is not the Rivet.
4. The boat farthest downstream belongs to the Byre family.

A minimal teaser. Only 4 clues, but everything falls easily into place.
I got messed up on this one because I kept getting the names of the pubs confused with the names of the boat. It also didn't register with me that the Marches were at the Triomph. I thought they must be at the next one upstream or downstream
hey, me too! but when i found out, i felt kinda stupid...
i dont understand boat lingo
At first I was really confused. Then I took a break. When I tried again, it made perfect sense. Good job!
Great Job! It made my day
Thanks. This was my first shot on logic. Actually my first shot on a different type of teaser (all my teasers were cryptos )
When I first opened this up I thought, "Four clues & small grid. This ought to be easy!" Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. I had to really work at this and STILL got it wrong. Thanks for a really challenging teaser! I'm gonna try this one again in the future.
it was pretty easy, , but i did spend a while on it.
Thanks for the great teaser! Not to easy and not to hard!!
Thanks
Thanks
I never would have realized that the first clue meant that the Marches were AT the triomph and not one away if I hadn't looked at the comments. That makes an otherwise easy puzzle confusing.
