Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Now that their last sibling has tied the knot, the Random Family has gotten together to reminisce about how all the couples met and how fun their weddings were. Can you figure out how each couple met, the last name of each spouse, and how many people were invited to each wedding?
1.Dora could not believe it when she got the notice that they had surpassed capacity of 327 and had to find a new reception facility! But one of her brothers invited even more people to his wedding than she did!
2. The couple that met on a blind date (which included neither Alex nor Ms. Myers), wanted a small wedding, but Mrs. Random talked them into inviting more people. However, they still had the smallest wedding of the four.
3. The Random Family added the same names to the guest list for all 4 weddings. Because the Fleetwood family is smaller than the Hughey family, The Random-Hughey wedding, naturally, was larger than the Random-Fleetwood wedding.
4. Nathan did not meet his wife, who is not named Myers or Burton, at college.
5. Gabriel and his bride, who did not meet on a blind date or through mutual friends, wanted to invite the whole world, but settled for 500.
6. Though they work together now, Ms. Burton and her husband did not meet at work; they met in a class they shared at Purdue University.
7. The couple who met through mutual friends, invited those two friends, as well as 398 other people.
8. Alex made sure to ask Mr. Burton for his daughter's hand before they set a wedding date, but Dora's fiance did not ask Mr. Random for his blessings.

I never did figure out who Dora's fiance was and who Gabriel married.
The Myers/Hughey clue is misleading. Clue 2 says "Ms. Myers" which could be either single or married. If married then Dora is Ms. Myers, if single then Dora is Hughey. As far as I can tell you just have to guess. Anyone see it differently?
Fun one.. But you don't need the first half of clue #1.
I liked this one. And I thought the Myers-Hughly clue was fine. Dora's last name is Random (she's the only girl in the Random family). The last names gives are the last names that the spouses had before they were married. So Ms.Myers is just a clue saying Dora did not marry into the Myers name. Anyways...good job!
I thought the Myers/Hugley clue was great! I liked that I actually had to think. I thought I was done, and I realized that I didn't have those two... it took me a minute to realize that I had to figure out which was a girl and which was a boy! Great job!
Roscoep, it says Ms. Myers, not Mrs. Myers, which means it had to be before whe was married.
It is a bit unfair - those clues. I think it's agreed that there aren't any missises or misses left - only mses
I like this logic-grid. All the clues made sence and it was fun
Mrs. indicates a married woman, Miss indicates an unmarried woman, and Ms. could be either. This makes the clue about Ms. Myers ambiguous since it does not indicate whether she was Ms. Myers when they met or if she is Ms. Myers now!!!
Incidently, both my wife and I dislike the use of the title Ms. for that very reason.
Good Lord!
Could ya'll get nit-pickier?
I'm sorry about the Ms. That's what I originally had for all of them out of habit, and thought I had corrected all of them.
So..... sorry! I'll pay more attention next time.

Well as was said all the non Random last names given were for the spouses. So Ms. Miss or Mrs. it was not Dora being spoken about anyway.
I can't figure out how it tells for sure who Dora is married to and who Gabriel is married to. I'm usually pretty good at these and I fell kinda stupid!
I solved this one just fine and just assumed that "Ms." was to mean "before". However, I was able to solve it before I even got to clues #7 & #8. Fun puzzle though!
Fun puzzle. I enjoyed it.
Very witty prose in the clues; I enjoyed it. Mildly challenging, too.
