i love this one
These are so much fun, so why weren't there more comments??
Wow 3 out of 5 right . Not bad.
I agree with Gebbierose.
Where's all the comments"?
Keep up the good work.

That was a tough one, but fun. Thanks.
fun teaser, a mini crossword
See, this is how it should be at this time in the morning; only a few comments. The recent ones with fifty or more comments have comments from over a year accumulated. I really MUCH PREFER it this way, I very strongly dislike it when there's already sixty comments when I do the daily teaser.
I GOT THEM ALL!!! YAY, YAY, YAY!!!
I bought a notebook JUST to be able to write stuff down when I did these teasers. This was the first one I used it on. I needed it too! I almost did NOT get them all, and found it surprisingly difficult! Which is great, becoz often I can do this kind just in my head in a minute or so, but having five letter words, five of them, that's much more challenging, and I enjoyed it. THANkS!

Must have been quite a lot of effort to compile this one! Thanks for a nice teaser, early in the morning. Could solve it fairly quickly.
well, i got apple...
technically, was the fruit really an apple? why not a pear or a peach?

Too early in the morning for me!!But good one!!
I LVE these!!! I can just feel my brainpower is growing - just what Braingle is all about!!!
A Super delightful crossword teaser! Most All of the teasers are fun, because you have to learn how to have fun with them. This teaser is well-thought-out by the author. Keep up the Awesome work!
I coulen't figure out the first one, so I gave up. Too impatient. Will try harder next time. Good teaser even if I didn't get it.
Took awhile, but finally my brain started functioning!!! Great Job on the teaser!
I really worked on this one and only came up with 2 for-sure words. I couldn't create the connection with the other possible words I came up with. GREAT teaser. Sometimes the best teasers are the one you don't get but know you coulda/shoulda!
Good one . I really enjoyed it Didn't get that about digging up the facts but I knew it after I saw the answer keep 'em comin'
Excellent teaser!
I need more caffeine though, only got 3 out of 5!
Keep 'em coming; this one's going into my faves!

Great teaser! I usually get word puzzles (which is probably why I like them so much), but this one had me stumped--just got 3 out of the five. What must be even more difficult is making them up. To find five 5-letter words that fit together without the given definitions to help you would be a real challenge.
I agree with shawneeo that I would rather read just the comments that are current rather than going back several months or years.

I figured apple or snake which didn't work, but finally got it. I always skip through the old comments and read the ones for the day, except I search for Murray. He cracks me up
Awesome teaser! Had to recruit my four kids, and their young brain cells to get this one. Probably wouldn't have gotten it without them. I'm with some of the others... Five words, five letters... And they form a word square? Very challenging and very cool. Thanks and cudos!
PS: We"backed into" expel after setting up the grid. Very fun!
Nice! Kinda hard though...
Wow, what fun that was! I only got 3, despite setting up the words in a grid... but the grid made me excited, because it helped me figure out DELVE! Was stumped by _ _ A D S and _ _ P E L. Oh well. Could've thought longer, but I did this fairly late at night after not checking email all day... I'd probably do better in the morning with coffee!
This was fun, but the last time one of these was posted, you had to figure out the definitions and then place them in the correct order. If I had known that they were already in order, it would have been much easier, but probably not as much fun.
You're the man Phrebd. Loved it eve if it was a little tough. More please.
Sorry Phrebh - missed my fingering.
Very nice!
am i missing something? i don't get how this is done.
I didn't get this one but it was fun trying
I solved all of it but clue 1.
Concerning clue 3: the Bible never says that the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil is an apple. So this clue isn't accurate.

I know that mathgrant. I also know that, historically speaking, the fruit was more probably a pear rather than an apple. But I also know that the clue is completely accurate. It is accurate per popular culture, not the bible.
