Very clever. I was confused by the hint, but when I saw the answer, it all made sense. I've been trying to think of other similar words, but I can't. Nice teaser, though!
Great job! Wouldn't the word "light" also fit?
n. A sudden light made me blink.
v. Please light the candle.
adj. What a light shade of blue!

Blind:
Noun: lift the blinds, so the sun can get in
Adj: that blind man is using a seeing-eye dog
Verb: the sun blinded me for a minute
I think it can be used as an adverb as well.
