I do Jumbles in the paper often, so it was easy, but I liked your notes--something extra to learn.
Thanks I am glad you liked it! I love the Jumbles in the paper too!
Brainster I really enjoy playing with your Greek Mythological Creatures teasers. I especially like that you share information about them too.

Thanks for the cool teaser, lots of fun!
I had "impels" for the third word and it threw me off.
nice teaser easy but fun
I love Jumbles in the newspaper also, but I also got impels for #3, which made it impossible to guess the final answer. In a puzzle like this, the maker should be sure there's only one combination of letters that will form a word in each instance.
Having multiple answers makes it more of a challenge to find out the right combination. If there was only one way everyone would complain that it was too easy!.
Good one!
Good one!
I had impels for the third word so I had no chance. RATS!!!
i didn't get gumption but i did get the teaser.
The first word could be CRAPE, CAPER, CARPE, PACER, PERCA, OR RECAP
The third word could be SIMPLE, IMPELS or MESPIL
The fourth word could be STAMP OR TAMPS
So for me, it wasn't a good teaser.

Loved it Indy! Give us some more!
With a name like Greek Mythological Creatures (plural) I thought there might be more than one in here. I think it would be much better if each of the scrambled words were also a Greek Mythological Creature.
Thanks for all the comments. It's been a while since I did a series on these, I felt I was saturating Braingle with them at one point. Well, maybe it's time for a new series!
