Two Longest Words
Trick
Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.Trick
What are the two longest words in the English language that can be typed using only your left hand on a keyboard?
Answer
Since I never said you had to use proper typing technique, any two words are possible to type with only your left hand.Hide Answer Show Answer

I wondered when somebody would ask that.
Really, there are no set "longest words", because the definition of "word" is too obscure. You never know to count medical terms, place names, animal names, etc.

Poorly written. I knew I didn't have to use proper technique, but the solution is very much unclear...
Sorry, but constructive criticism is necessary for better teasers.

I agree with the above comment. I too also knew that it could be any words because you didn't necessarily have to type using the characters on the left side. However, the answer doesn't really fit the "longest word" part of the question because not any word could be considered a "longest word". Maybe you could change the question to read something like: What are 5 words containing more than 10 letters can by typed using only your left hand?
Does anyone else think that this should be in the "trick" catagory?
Oh snap it is...Haha sorry, I thought I clicked on "situation."
Well don't I feel stupid...
Anyways, I thought it was a pretty good teaser, I don't know what you all are complaining about...

I do think it was a great teaser! I was just offering a suggestion.
I tried putting my answer in but this won't accept words with more than 50 characters.
What are you doing with your right hand?
What are you doing with your right hand?
a real trick if you dont have a left hand
not much to this trick
BTW, the non-sarcastic answer is "aftercataracts" and "tesseradecades" with 14 letters each. Honorable mention goes to "aftereffects," "desegregated," "desegregates," "reasseverate," "reverberated," "reverberates," and "stewardesses," each with 12 letters. There are no 13 letter words with this property
Hah. I got that one in a second, but it was a nice reliever for a tired brain.
Good one I liked it!
Good one!
I thought I was being clever by saying "English" and "language". Ah well.
antidisestablishmentarianism- the longest word in the english language with no spaces
That is just a common misconception.
pneumoÂnoultraÂmicroscopicÂsilico - volcanoÂconiosis is longer, flocciÂnauciÂnihiliÂpiliÂfication is exactly one letter longer than Anti... . Along with others.
Like I said before, the reason why no words were listed, is because 1) The "longest word" is subject to change. 2) There really isn't a set word that is the longest. 3) The definition of a "word" is obscure. It could contain place names, scientific words, etc.

Easy teaser but kinda cute... I do agree with the others though in that you never actually gave the answer to the teaser (even with trick included)!!!
JennLee, we're on the same wavelength cause I also thought 'English' and 'Language' were the perfect answer!

big SNIFF
A bit easy, but good one swaff!
Mental note: Remember which category you're in.
I have a feeling you didnt even answer the question, the answer was more like a big hint
I knew that because lefties can do anything righties can! Actually, I use both hands for typing.
phmn... Hmm forgot how to spell it but I know ONE OF the longest words in the english language.
?
I think this was lame, as well. Sorry swaff, but you didn't even post the two longest words in the English language, which was the main reason I found this lame.
That'd be rather hard to do. The longest word in English is more than 180k letters long. There's a YouTube video of someone pronouncing it, takes 3 hrs. I think I'd pass away before I finished typing that.
