Where On Earth Am I?
Trivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.
I am standing on the earth's mantle.
Arthur is outside the compound, gazing westwards as he has always done and listening.
Guinevere, Merlin, Uther, Tristan and Isolde are part of the company within the compound.
People work here, and people visit here. Rare plants grow here, safe, while dangerous reptiles bask in the sun.

Answer
Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station, Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall
The rock that make up the peninsula are usually tens of kilometres below the ground. The junction of the crust and mantle is visible at Coverack.
Arthur is the name of Antenna 1, which was built in 1962 to track Telstar. Many of the other 60 antennae are named after people in Arthurian legend, because of the connection with Cornwall.
The surrounding countryside is Cornwall's first nature reserve, home to the fragrant orchid and the hairy buttercup as well as adders, Britain's only poisonous snake. Signs warn visitors to be careful about them basking in the summer sun.
