Fun teaser!
Show me how 5(5-1/5) equals 24
you divide 1 by 5 first because of the order of operations. it equals .2, which you subtract from 5. the answer is 4.8, which you multiply by 5. it equals 24. try it out, salome.
ok! you win
i didnt use decimals. i used fractions. i got the answer... AFTER i saw the answer very cute. i loved the hint: 'none'

Great Riddle! I have another answer though: (5-1)! * (5/5)
how about 5*5-1^5?
I relieze that there are multiple answers, and that's awesome if u find them! Cause i didnt...
Here is another answer.
5*5-1^5
1^5=1
5*5=25, and 25-1=24.
5*5-1^5
1^5=1
5*5=25, and 25-1=24.
I still dont get it.
actually, 5*5-1/5 doesnt work. 1/5=.2.....
oh wait, nvr mind what i said i see
LOL, wow, so many possibilities! I found a different one, but whatever. I got 5 x 5 - (5 - 1)
Sorry friesaregood, but
5 x 5 - (5 - 1) = 25-4 = 21
You're supposed to get 24
5 x 5 - (5 - 1) = 25-4 = 21
You're supposed to get 24
How about
SQRT (5^5 /5) -1
?
SQRT (5^5 /5) -1
?
I also used square root:
5*√(5*5)-1
5*√(5*5)-1
brag all u want
In addition to the given solution I got several others (some of which other people got also):
(5-1)! + 5 - 5
√5 * √5 * 5 - 1
5! / 5 * 1^5
√(5^5 / 5) - 1
5 * 5 - 1^5
(5-1)! + 5 - 5
√5 * √5 * 5 - 1
5! / 5 * 1^5
√(5^5 / 5) - 1
5 * 5 - 1^5
How About----
[5-1]!divided by 5 over 5
[5-1]!divided by 5 over 5
