Brain Teasers
A Sparkling Puzzle
Begin with the word "SPARKLING" and take away one letter so as to leave a new word. Then take away another letter from the new word and leave a different word. Continue this, letter by letter, getting a new word every time until you finally leave one word containing only one letter. You must not disturb the order of the remaining letters after a removal.
Answer

2) SPARKING.
3) SPARING.
4) SPRING.

Good one, thanks! I only got down to 6 letters ... lost patience with myself.
I got different answers, too, using a couple of obsolete words and one odd choice. But, hey, all the words were in the dictionary!

Good Teaser.

See, I said PARKING, and then I was lost. I loved this teaser! Some of the Daily Teasers can be annoying because they'll be cryptographies or math, that only the very brainy can solve. This one was hard, but I enjoyed trying! Keep it up!
That was an excellent teaser... really made you think.
Cute.

Very nice teaser, a tad easy, but nice nevertheless. More, please..

Awesome teaser! Challenging, but no goofy words you've never heard of.
I started by building up, and got stuck on:
AKIN
KIN
IN
I
Then I tried again and got it.

I went the route of leadsinger but went "parin," "pain," "pan," "pa," "a." Fun teaser...I love these!! Thanks!
I thought this Teaser was Excellent, fun, easy but required a decent level of Thought. Keep these Coming. I bet everyone liked this one?

Excellent teaser. It took me a few minutes, but I got it. I would have never known that "prig" is a word, if it weren't for the fact that it's in an album title of one of my favorite bands.
Good one, But I too went a different route and lost patience and quit. Nice one though!
Fun. But this teaser has many solutions...
Oops, I should have read ALL of the directions. I changed the order of some of the letters.
I also got stuck with PARKING! Oh well, better luck next time!!
I also found an alternative solution:
Sparkling,
Sparking,
Sparing,( showing mercy )
Paring,( peeling )
Pring,( to leap )
Ping,( sound )
Pin,
In,
I. This was a real fun teaser, thanks!
