This problem is incorrectly worded. one-half more than the second digit, 6, is equal to 6.5 (6 + 1/2=6.5). Instead, I think you want to say that the last digit is equal to 1.5 times the second, or (you can say it is three-halves times the second).
Nailed it, in about 1 minute (in my head). Very fun though =)
And I think it is worded fine. Although I do recognize the ambiguity pointed out above, it's pretty clear what is intended, considering that a digit can only be a whole number.
