If there are six players on the team, how do you get 5 girls and 2 boys??
the coach was a girl
You forgot the water boy...
What was the coach's problem that he/she needed so much water, while it was the players doing all of the work?
This was too easy... after I took out the coaches water, I knew there were only two boys because that was the only way it could have ended in four... I could have solved this when i was a little kid...
Way too easy.
The water the coach drinks is pointless to the teaser. The 34 remaining are 2 less than the average of 6, so there must be two more girls than boys.

I love your logic Java. This is the way all of us should think about problem solving! Good teaser - better explanation!
