Interesting teaser. Had me stumped but the answer makes sense. To garrgor: it would take both.

technically, I'm not sure this is correct.
My Webster's says that a "brother in law is the brother of one's wife or husband" similar for sister in law.
My wife's sister is my 'sister in law",
but her sister's husband is not my brother in law. I did not marry into his family.

HA HA... I KNEW THAT ONE...
my Husbands Sister & Brother...Married a Sister & brother...

I don't think this is correct.
I am A, and my sister is B. She marries C, and I marry D, and C and D are a brother and sister.
Then C is my brother-in-law TWICE over. C is my brother-in-law once because my sister is married to him. And again because I am married to his sister. Likewise, my sister and D are sister-in-laws twice over.
But, as far as I am aware, brother-in-law-ship does not extend any farther than that, so it should not affect my relationship with my sister.

Several online dictionaries give "the husband of one's spouse's sister" as a definition of "brother-in-law", so the teaser is correct IMO.
