You stumpt me. For some off the wall reason I was thinking I had to use all of the marbles! Very good teaser!!
i thought i was supposed to use all the marbles too
Actually i gave it the title "My Internet-friend's teaser" becuase it's not actually mine, and i just want to publish it somewhere, with saying who made it. All credits and comments going to him (or her?), not to me.
That was stupid but big SWAFF 69 is right! When I finally looked at the answer I cracked up!

There is a way to use all 27 marbles. Can you do it?
i thought you had to use all the marbles. but when the answer was revealed, i felt soooooo stupid.
I could completley ruin the moment and fill it with confusement and arguing with three words ("this is offensive"). But I'm not going to, because even though it's only offensive to people who have no humor... I have humor........ I think... HUmBuMbUaladum... (no, thats spam.)
good one. i liked it. keep em comin
walrusgumbootus, you thought of cup-in-a-cup trick?
yeah i did the "put the cups inside each other, and then put the 27 marbles in the top cup thing"
i got this one with the hint, but it was good anyway
That was funny. I never would have thought of that.

Ohhhh... I took 1 just for example, isn't it clear???? You can put even one in one, three in second and five in third!

Hmmm I knew when I worked it out with all 27, that I was missing something but I still didn't get it when I cked the hint!! Boy did I laugh when I felt so silly
Cold blooded! The son of a teacher was looking for a mathematical solution... Good job!
i knew it
i didn't get it...
I figured you had to put at least one in one cup then take it out again, but the answer as is is much simpler - nice.
'Nuf said.
This teaser is good because it seems most people (such as myself) tend to infer a restriction that isn't stated. (e.g., that all of the marbles must be used) Even after arriving at a solution such as using the cup-in-cup scenario, it's a head slapper when the answer is read. Good job!
You can actual use any odd number of marbles up to 23 in one cup. This would still leave 1 marble for the other cups.
Tricky one!
I got it. Great teaser.
it fun
good
tahst was good
I feel tricked Very witty.
WOW!!! I got the answer right!
put 7 in the first 3 cups, put 2 in the last, then put one of the other cups in the last one.
Blugrass you would still have 1 left over.
Blugrass you would still have 1 left over.
there was no question in the teser...
It's these types of teasers that tell me to reread that I always get wrong. Nice teaser anayways
Lol *smacks forehead* I feel stupid
This is wrong. The definition of each:
pron.pronoun
Every one of a group considered individually; each one.
The phrase "put in each" MEANS put in every cup. How do the editors miss errors like this?

The correct answer to the riddle is, put an odd number in 3 of the cups, for example, 9,9,9, then put one of the cups into the empty cup.
You can put one marble in each of three of the cups and 24 in the last cup. What, twenty-four is not an odd number of marbles to be in a cup? Well, it is odd for me. My cups typically have soda instead, so any nonzero number of marbles would give me pause.
