Who's The Boss
Game #2645: The Real LX
This private game is moderated by Shadows. Please read the rules and contact the moderator with any questions or concerns about this game.
This game finished in 4 rounds.
In case I end up staying up late, sleeping all morning, and doing homework all afternoon, I started the next round a bit earlier than I would've. Clue in a second.
EDIT: Clearing clue again. Just a reminder that I edited last round's clue a bit, so go back and take another shot at it. This round's is even easier than last round's, though I suppose that doesn't say much...
Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, pumpkin pie
Burger, fries, pop, blueberry muffin
Pork ribs, Caesar salad, garlic bread, lemonade

Wow! What a quick interchange between rounds. I like it.
freakshow07 was a mandatory.
Days and leonardodecharo never stated votes, however leonardodecharo implied a vote for LR, so I don't find him not being fired suspicious. However, Days never posted, so why is she still here?
EDIT: Everyone's logged in today, which is probably why Shadows saw no harm in accepting the memo.
This probably also means the Boss didn't try delay writing their memo and psyche answer. This could mean that they are possibly new(ish), and leonardodecharo is the only new(ish) player remaining in this game is new, since slamm was fired. But it could also mean that the Boss knew they were going to be held up and returning the memo now ensured they weren't late for showing up to work.
Also, there's the possibility that I'm over analysing everything.
As for the boss' psyche answer... what the? They're off talking about 'holes' with pop in it. For anyone not from America, pop is fizzy drink, like coke or sprite.
For now, I am voting for leonardecharo based loosely on the fact that he is newer to the game than anyone else here.
I will see if I can get ANYWHERE with this round's clue, but don't hold your breath.

How do you know that freak was a mandatory firing?

Only 3 people can be fired Round One in a 15 player game. Since there were four firings, we know all of them had to be mandatories.
Oh that's right. Guess I've gotten used to 20 player games.
Rats, I thought you might have slipped up there. Shoulda known better.

Throwing out a "fish" vote for Bradon. May change before the round is over, but wanted to get a vote in, in case I don't log on tomorrow.

Oh, I don't know if this means anything, but this rounds clue is in dark green, not the usual seagreen that Shadows uses!
It doesn't mean anything. I would've bolded the entire clue, but I also needed to bold a part of the clue, so I decided to change the colour instead to make it stand out.
Shadow's posting right above me is curious. She usually leaves the off the end of her message. This colors her siggy. Both postings this round have a black siggy. No clue how that could be helpful though...
Edit: Oops, never mind. She must have changed out something. All of her postings this game have the end color.

When I first read the clue, it reminded me of a game I played in of snowmonster's: Three Stooges TWG Round 3 Discussion.
It lists some of the food mentioned in the clue. From the game, snowmonster was moderator, bradon182001 and chunnie were wolves. But I'm not sure it's the right connection at all. Since I don't know how Shadows would've got to that game in trying to make a clearing clue. But I thought I may as well share what I've been doing for the past 20 minutes, even though it's about 99.9% likely to be wrong.
EDIT: I looked through all the pages of "What's for Dinner? ~ 11" in General Discussion, but the bolded meal didn't come up at all.

I'm away and on my mnini, so will keep this short to avoid typos. Based on the "pop" answer, I'd be suspicious of both Snowy and myself. As far as I can remember, she and I are the only ones who call it pop. However, there are others in this game who are aware of this information. I suspect an attempted "frame" by a clever boss. For now I'm throwing a semi-fish vote for the very clever Caberet. I'll try to get back on before the round ends to reconfirm, but for now it's locked in.

I didn't have time to post, but I voted last round. That's why I'm still here. Sorry guys, caught me during a school day, weekend now until Monday, finally. Hmm, going to fish vote 4wheels.

Sorry for putting you in a two-way majority, GA. That could be incredibly stupid. But, then again, it could be helpful. Hopefully you can get on to change your vote if you want to?
I'm not just voting as some sort of retaliation. Leo didn't post much last round (besides a quick suspicion, which I guess implied where his vote went) and did the same this round [like I can say anything about that. I know. But I was off for most of the day yesterday ...]. We still have some time, and I'll be on the computer doing an essay {why did I choose this major again?} so I'll be on to change and check.
In the meantime, we should check out dem clues.
Clue 1: [Shadow's edit]
horses
ponies
no pies
many pies
FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE:
object
______
______
______
So. We have a starter (horses), then its children/relation/younger (ponies). Then we have an anagram of that (no pies), followed by an antonym (many pies).
I think we're supposed to follow that order (nice deduction! , ehhhhhh). So we have a starter - object. Unfortunately I'm still fuzzy about what process happens between the first and second steps. Maybe it's a precursor? And object is a verb, not a noun? Something happens before an objection? That's where I stop.
Clue 2:
Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, pumpkin pie
Burger, fries, pop, blueberry muffin
Pork ribs, Caesar salad, garlic bread, lemonade
The first looks like items listed in a traditional American thanksgiving.
The second generally looks like what you'd find at a fastfood joint.
Is this some sort of picnic? I have no clue.
Well, looking at the first two lists, I would say that "green beans" and "blueberry muffin" are the odd ones out. [Though I'm sure people do eat green beans with their Thanksgiving dinners, I don't, and have never really heard it as one of the 'necessary' aspects.]
Greenbeans and blueberry muffin. Possibly a coincidence. I can't see a colour in the third list. Perhaps Crayola has one? Oh, what about pink, as in pink lemonade? Is pink somehow relevant? Slaminggirl posted in pink in Round 0, but she's sort of ... fired.

Cab, are you using a different browser? I never have the because I always type out the , and it's more convenient to omit the last part. However, it only colours my signature if you're using Firefox. On IE, which is what I'm using right now, my signature is always black.
LR, you're forgetting the most important part of clue 2 in your analysis.

I'm still on Firefox. But I guess something changed. It used to be that your siggy was always seagreen. Now it's black. Odd stuff...

Could Shadows be hinting that the bolded part is most definitely the important part of the clue? I think so. Anyway, if we can figure out what both of the first two meals are, and we can't fiigure out what the third line is, I'm betting that has something to do with the answer. I thought about a picnic, but I don't think there would be garlic bread at a picnic. It sounds more along the lines of something you would order at a resturaunt, or cook for a date...Something along those lines.
I'm going to continue my searches in both clearing clues and figure out what they mean. So far, I have got next to nothing, but soon, I will have something.
Stay tuned.
EDIT: This is probably the stupidest connection I could ever make to the clearing clue, but what if it's in green because of "GreenApples27"? I'm highly doubting that's the case, but we don't have to disreguard it. Anyways, I haven't played food fight, so I don't know if there are foods such as those within the clearing clue. It's just a thought...

Ugh. Shady clues give me hives.
The best (worst) I can come up with is that the meals are for holidays. Burgers = 4th of July (US Independence Day) and Thanksgiving. Not sure what the ribs signify...

Well, the boss uses the term Pop. They are either like me, who uses this term, or they are tying to sound like someone like me. . . or me. LOL It the coke or pepsi topic in GD, there might be some clues in there, if there's someone else, other than me (cause I am not the boss), who uses pop over soda - or fizzy stuff. . . .

Hmm. That's a heap of defensiveness, Snowy. Since no one's voting for you, I think I'll give GA a break and change my vote to you.
Though if anything you'd likely be more likely to be rat than boss (based on that post alone) I might as well vote that way anyways.

Hey, I was stating the obvious. The boss used the term pop. POP, is not as popular as soda - so my thinking is. . . . . the boss actually uses the term pop, or it's someone trying to sound like, either me, or someone else that may use that term. I'm not the boss, but please clear me if you wish. I'm not the rat either. If I were, I'd be a bit more quieter than this! So - vote for me, but if a majority is formed, you'll be subject to optional firings. . . .
Hey, the boss simply could be someone familiar with the topics about pop/soda in the GD forum. . .think about that! Who's posted there, that's in this game?

horses is the adult of ponies. If you look at the lettering closely and take the p and put ies and switch the o and n you no. So no pies. Then no pies is the opposite of many pies
horses
ponies=no pies if you switch the lettering around.
no pies
many pies

snowmonster, remember when I tried to set you up using spaced ". . ."s. Oh, the joys of picking on unexpecting employees.
What is the offspring to an object?! Well, an antonym to "object" is "subject", but that would come later in the example. So I don't know.
Maybe when Shadows said "horses" and "ponies", maybe they were synonyms, rather than offspring? Since we have anagrams and antonyms, it would sort of fit to have a synonym in there too.
EDIT: I've posted in there, snowmonster. As has caberet from what I can remember.

I noted all that before, Days (as others probably did as well last round). The question is, how does "object" relate to the next word in line? Then it seems to go "anagram" and finally "antonym". I assume Shadows might use a two-word phrase for the second step to make us seem uncertain (though that's just fearing the worst.)
It's probably chronological, as suspected. I was thinking legally. Overruled?
Or maybe objects are preceded by the idea for an object and thus "idea". I'm only following this mad path because it only comes down to "aide". Antonym of which could be: boss, leader, superior. [So the boss is cleared, I guess. ]
I don't know what important step I missed for Clue 2.
/
Object -> Item -> Time -> Space/No time/Timeless
Hmm. If Shady wanted ponies as a synonym, why wouldn't she have said "horsies"?

LR, I've been working on the EXACT same thing as you. I just didn't know what an antonym for Time was.
There's also "mite" which is a very small creature.

And there you have it, Snowmonster is cleared!
As for the other one...While I was supposed to be doing my homework, I was thinking about the holiday thing as well. New Year's might be the last one if you think about it. If it blantantly said, "Pork and SourKraut", I would be sold, but it doesn't, and why should it? Anyways, I am thinking it has something to do with New Year's...

Well, it may not be correct, xxsoftballxx13x. It was just an attempt at solving it... we'll have to wait for Shadows to confirm it or not.
"Pork and SourKraut"
On New Years? Always good to get a reminder that people are very different. Ha.GA, why would yeti be the opposite of a mite? Let me look that up. The link to Snowy certainly wouldn't be bad if that connected. But I can't find a reason for yeti as of yet.
If it does clear Snowy, I'll probably go back to Leonardo and put you back in a majority, GA. Just to let you know so that you can change your vote if you like.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?
Softy if you were a human, why didn't you help us out in the WWG?

Well, a mite is a very small creature, and the opposite to a very small creature would be a yeti, which is a snow monster.
It's possibly a bit of a stretch, hence why I put a question mark after it.
If only Shadows would come on and confirm/deny!
EDIT: And LR, I wouldn't change to leonardodecharo if I were you, considering he's a possible mandatory. That could get us fired and him, and therefore no clears.

No time to change, really, so I'm keeping it where it is. (The vote, that is).
I still don't get it, though. Unless yeti means "big creature" (maybe it does, but Wiki didn't say that, unfortunately) why does it have to be a yeti? Could it possibly be dinosaur as well? If that's the case, then I think it's a bit of a stretch, personally. Though I've certainly been wrong before, and it'd be great to clear someone.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

Well, a Yeti is similar to Bigfoot, and both are considered to be large animals, yes?
Hrm. Maybe it is a bit of a stretch... Oh wells! I can never seem to work out the clues. Except for the one that pointed to me several games ago, yet no one even listened to me.
EDIT: Changing to xxsoftballxx13x because leonardodecharo never posted.

Nope, you're barking up the wrong tree with "item". Good try, though.
Roger, I think softball already pointed out the most important part of clue 2.
Voting has now ended.

Holidays then? Okay. Now, if only we could get a hint as to what that first step was. *Not holding his breath on that one*
I have no idea what holiday the last one would be. Looking it up I got some site called "Wedding" or something. Could that be something? [Assuming events instead of holidays]
And for the record, I like my link to the colour pink. It makes sense (even if it's incredibly wrong. [And possibly biased due to food choice])

StewieGriffin logged in with 20 minutes to go in the round, but didn't post.

I felt really bad after the first round ended without my posting, and I noticed that before school on Friday. Since the night round wasn't over yet, I went to school. We had an early dismissal, but that was probably my downfall. The day ended about three hours earlier, so I got home that much earlier. I watched an episode of "Big Brother", and then I went up to take a shower. When I returned downstairs, my dad informed me that we were leaving for my grandmother's in ten minutes. I was frantically trying to pack an overnight bag as well because I was going to my friend's house directlly after, so I simply forgot about Braingle because I had no internet connections for the rest of the day. The next afternoon, I logged on and saw that I was shot. Sorry. You have to understand that sometimes life gets a little hectic, and there's nothing you can do about it.
So, if I was on the right track with the clearing clue, that means it has something to do with New Year's, right?

Softy if you were a human, why didn't you help us out in the WWG?

I thought that Shadows meant he bolded part, when she said about you posting the most important part. But okay.
Clue 2 is a LOT simpler than you think. Yes, I did mean the bolded part.
EDIT: Come think of it, you no longer need to worry about clue 2, since the person it points to will be fired. I will start the round in a little while, once I finish up the Boss clue.
