Who's The Boss
Game #2863: Writer's Block the Second
This game is moderated by christiangrl. Please read the rules and contact the moderator with any questions or concerns about this game.
This game finished in 3 rounds.
Here, we will have an average game of WTB, except you will earn immunity and clues by the short stories that you write. The more effort you put into your story to make it intresting and a worth while read is your choice, and the top two writers will earn their choice of immunity or a boss clue. Every round or so, I will post a clearing clue for you to solve.
At the beginning of the round, I will give you directions for a prompt, or for the writing challenge of that round.
Note: Anyone can play, but they must be active!
Post questions and game requests here.
Here is what you may potentially see.
~~~
You need to write a story, not a long one, but a good one, using these three things:
Person: Bilbo Baggins
Place: Canada
Thing or Action: Hunting Elephants
~~~
Here is another possible one. Write a story that begins with this sentence:
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea, I mean, seriously?!
~~~
Or write a story together, with everyone else. Final post gets a clue. I'll begin.
Tom went for a walk in the woods on the day before he died.
He died the next day.
"Ouch," said Tom.
~~~
Write a story based on the Harry Potter theme. Do what ever you like to the characters, just be wary that if you kill anyone I will be very sad, and you will lose points.
~~~
Or I will say the theme of this round is:
Life in the 1980's
~~~
BTW: Has anyone ever played Apples to Apples? There is a rule in that game about appealing to the judge so you can win. I'm not out lawing that in the slightest. Humor is good. We all love humor.
I'll plan out 3 rounds at a time.
Round 1: Write a story containing the word compère, a cantelope, and a slightly insane emoticon. It should take place in Whoville, and in Narnia. Best two win the choice of:
a) Immunity
b) Clearing Clue
The clearing clue can be shared with others if it's owner chooses. I will PM the winners.
Round 2: Everyone write their own story beginning with this sentence:
Thomas, the king of the pickles, was having a really bad hair day, which is saying something, because pickles don't normally have hair.
Round 3: Write a story with everyone else. Last post and funniest post will both win their choice of:
a) Immunity
b) Clearing Clue

Today was LOUSY.
1. I had a bagel with cream cheese all ready to be my breakfast, and I took it to the bus stop, where I got on the bus with it, but got off without it.
2. per 1 - LOTS of homework.
3. per 2 - Lost my iPod ear bud. Headphones don't work without it.
4. per 5 - Went to PE - OUTSIDE, about 100 degrees. Ran around a bunch, got hot and sweaty for an hour. Went inside. NO AIR CONDITIONING.
5. per 6 - Late to english, marked absent, then tardy. Had to take pictures, SCHOOL pictures. Mind you, I'm hot, sweaty, sun burned, and out of breath. NOT a good picture.
6. Walked home. 106 degrees. Heavy backpack, no shadey trees.
Not a good day friends, not a good day.
If God is watching us, the least we can do is be entertaining.

My day..was...odd.
I woke up at around...well, maybe 110. I Then sat on the sofa, watching my brother play video gamews, for a few minutes. I think I feel asleep, and I woke up again to my mother...screaming, well not screaming, but still....for me to get dressed, bruahs my teeth, and get ready. I then did those things, and then , of yeah, I ate a bowl of ceareal, and then i got my book. I read for a few minutes, untill my mom came and said we were going to my cousins house. My cousin is 3, and HES SOOO CUTE!!! We drove for an hour or so, and played with My cousin for a bit. We then went to Subway with them, and then we got... FROZEN YOGURT!!!! (i got strawberry!!!!) Afterwards, we went back to thier house. We played outside on the swingset, and my brother got stuck in the tolderlers swing(im not kidding, it yook us 15 minutes to get him out!). After that, we...wait fro it, WENT TO THE MAALL....ugg. I had to go shopping. It was soooo terrible. But, then we got chicken. It was good. yum. After the torture of shopping for CLOTHING, we went home. After that.. wait for...I had to got to HOCKEY PRACTICE. We ran. a lot. Yah. Then when we got home, I spent read at home for a few hours. then I went to bed. Around...midnight.

Does it have to be real? My days are really boring and there's nothing that merits a mention.

I woke up at about 8:30am, got out of bed, stretched, and went downstairs. Made myself a bowl of cereal, ate that bowl of cereal, and decided to go for a walk.
So, I packed my bag (I shall never, EVER carry a purse. Instead I carry a mini backpack around) full of chewy bars (my main source of the majority of my nutrients... JK!), and a waterbottle, and headed down the street in the direction of the park.
Thank god for my really weird packing skills (I keep a Swiss Army Knife, a spoon, a notepad, a pen, my cellphone (its NEVER on), a juice box, a pack of gum, one of those blankets that folds down into a really small square, and a bunch of other useless stuff in there) because it started to get really windy and rainy. Lovely weather. I pulled out an umbrella (I KNEW I forgot something in that list), and it blew inside out almost instantly.
That's when I remembered that I forgot to leave a note for my parents. Shoot. I also hadn't been paying attention to where I was walking. Double shoot.
I called 911. They picked me up and brought me home. The end.
And that is exactly what I did NOT do today, but I wanted to cut it off quickly to share some funny stuff with you.
There's a game me and my friends play where you make up scenarios, and then randomly selected people to be in those scenarios. They end up really funny.
For example:
Harry Styles and Selena Gomez are getting married tommorw. Ronald Weasley is the priest.
My crazy, hyperactive friend is cutting Legolas's hair. She cuts it all off.
Voldemort is trying to bake a cake. He finally calls my brother (who is 10 and has probably never even turned on the stove in his life) to help.
Louis Thompson (sorry to all you fans if I spelled that wrong, my friend is a 1D obsess, and was picking the characters that round) is a new celebrity! Pippin really wants Louis Thompson's signature, so when Pippin saw Louis Thompson, Pippin tackled Louis Thompson, and now has a restraining order against him, issued by me.
Hagrid is decorating his new apartment, and asks me to help. We get into a pillow fight.
These were just some of them!!!!! We're going to do some more tomorrow, if they're funny I'll post them. Got to go to bed now.
PS: As much as I love alord of the Rings, Bilbo Baggins is CREEPY

Today I had a very interesting day. I woke up and put my contacts in. As sometimes happens, my contacts reacted badly with my eyes and I had to squeeze my eyes shut in agony for a few minutes. This is not a frequent occurrence, but it does occasionally happen. After my eyes adjusted and I got dressed, I went downstairs. I had toast and tea for breakfast. I like tea, so deal with it, okay? Then I went to school. I hung out with my best friend on the bus, which is the only time I get to see her because I go to a different high school. Note: It's very project based and we get a Mac to do all our work on. So anyway, today was the first day we were actually going to classes. My first period is Algebra II, which is when I found out that in that class we weren't going to have homework. Best math class ever. Then I went to Biotech Ethics, which is biology and ethics combined. I know, so difficult to tell from the name. Then Virtual Business, where we read a book by Dr. Seuss called Doofefendoor Day, which I spelled wrong. That book almost perfectly describes our school. Then I went to lunch. I had a wrap and 2 cookies. Sugar cookies, because they are the best kind that our school provides. I do prefer snickerdoodles, though. Next was PE. I am not impressed, either. There is no way that PE right after lunch is a good idea. And since it's the "first day," we pretty much get to do whatever we want. That is where I am now, typing this. Yay. Good day so far, other than the painful eye bit.
This is guaranteed true facts, all day, every day. But only right now and today. Are the 3 rounds listed the actual ones? And I think that this'll be a fun game. I love writing.
EDIT: Now I have officially been referred to as "David's sister." David is my older brother, who goes to the normal high school. I feel special.

Ok, good warm up. Answer this question.
Who is/was/forever will be the single most brillant children's author of all time?
I defiantly have an answer no one on Earth can argue with.

J. K. Rowling.
Or are you referring to (some what little) kid-intended books?
Beverly Clearly, Judy Blume

David is my older brother. He doesn't really stand out in any way (no offense bro), but it was just cool to be known as his sister.

LOL, I was kinda kidding.
Sarcasm doesn't really work over the computer :/. Oh well. That's life.
In my opinion, the best children's author is (are)
Judy Blume, Mary Pope Ausborne, Robert Munsch (yeah I know he writes picture books, but they're cute), Paul Geraghty (he came to visit our school once), ummmmmmm
*looks up past Silver Birch and Blue Spruce books*
Eric Walters (doesn't really write kids books, but an amazing writer nonetheless), Shel Silverstein, me, Geronimo Stilton (lol, remember him? Hahahaha), Lemony Snicket,
I'll think of a few more

Well, can't think of any more kids authors, but some of my favourite authors in general include:
JRR Tolkien
JK Rowling
Douglas Adams
Eric Walters
"Lemony Snicket" (can't remember his real name)
Cornelia Funke (spelled that wrong, whatever)
Terry Pratchett
Yeah... There's plenty more but my mind just went blank :/
Thought of another, REALLY OBVIOUS kid's author:

Ou Shizi, Li Zhen or Wang Yinglin (or whoever the real author of the Three-Character Scripture was)
Our title was 'Who is/was/forever will be the single most brilliant children's author of all time?' not 'Who is the single most brilliant children's author of the 20th and 21st centuries?'. For an author to be truly brilliant, it is necessary that his or her work survive through the times. Do you think anyone will remember JK Rowling, Dr Seuss or even Lewis Carroll in the year 3000? I don't think so. The Three-Character Scripture has been around as early as the Song Dynasty. Generations of Chinese children will continue to be forced to learn it by heart and forget the first line one week later. I know of no reason why the Three-Character Scripture will ever be forgot.

Ok. I'll try this. I haven't written much in a long time, but I used to enjoy it.
Will there be suggestions for length (100 words, 250 words, etc.)? It would be nice to have some sort of frame in mind.

Each story needs to be 2453981 words long, and has to include the word 'the' exactly 62934 times.
Got all that?

Haha, I write A LOT. More than half the documents saved on my computer (my account of the family computer) are stories that I've written. Two documents are full of spells from Harry Potter, because I went crazy in grade 5 and memorized all (and I literally means ALL) the spells used in the Harry Potter books.
The other half of word documents consist of school reports, lists of French vocab, lists of jokes I should use with my friends, lists of story ideas, pictures of cute dogs, pictures of cute animals, morse code, hexadecimal tables, me trying to do binary art (I cheated eventually, it was too hard), and lists of all the characters in my stories.
I also have a document full of pictures of monkeys.
Now come to think of it, only about a quarter of my documents are stories, I have more than I realized.

Hi everyone!
Am i still supposed to wire about my day? i warn you, its insanely boring now that schools started.
Happy ever after in the marketplace, Desmond lets the children lend a hand. Molly stays at home and does her pretty face, and in the evening she's the singer with the band!

Sux!! I've still got till Tuesday...
My day stories are actually pretty interesting lately, because I've just started high school, and it's not a traditional school. So if there are more of those prompts, you can hear about my misadventures missing the 'shuttle,' which is really just a normal bus to and from the normal high school, and my humorous times with my bff on the bus. I am evillllllllllll. I like cheeze.

Leo: Hold on. This is gonna hurt. Coach Hedge: I was BORN for HURT!!

No story needed for Round 0. That was just something to do.

I've been really really busy and school for me starts next week but I'll try to be active.
Let's see what did I do today...well I'll tell you what I did yesterday cause I haven't done anything yet today. Okay so first I went with my family to a state park that I have forgotten the name of. We hiked up this huge hill in the morning. Then I ate this really good nachos lunchable. Then we changed into our bathing suits and hiked up a river that had all these natural waterfalls. There was a little part that you could slide down on this rock that would drop down into a deep water hole like a waterslide. So then we walked back and came back to my house. My mom made dinner that I ate really really fast because I was late for band practice. When we drove to the school to drop me off we couldn't find the band and we were driving around in circles trying to find them. (How did I lose a whole band??) Anyways I finally found them and then obviously we practiced. And then we played at the half time show of a football game. The end.
Ghosts are actually caused by Chuck Norris killing people faster than Death can process them.

Cool avi book... looks demented but in a good way.
Ill talk about yesterday too... So I woke up, ate some apple slices for breakfast, brushed teeth, all that stuff. Then i biked to my school and was almost late. I went to my first class which was health i think. Most BORING class ever, if u can avoid taking health, do so. Next up was humanities, which is basically english but with a fancy name. After that was lunch- i brought greek blueberry yogurt and applesauce (I like it, ok?). Last was improv class (ik, my school is awesome) and we improvised. Biked home. Then i got this brilliant idea to make chocolate and peanut butter balls out of peanut butter and powdered dark chocolate. They turned out more like chocolate peanut butter soup but it was still delicious. Did homework. Ate dinner. Watched some tv. Got someone shot in werewolf game. Then finally, went to bed.
The End.
Happy ever after in the marketplace, Desmond lets the children lend a hand. Molly stays at home and does her pretty face, and in the evening she's the singer with the band!

Actually, I was thinking picture books, which would be Dr. Suess.
A lot of those other guys are great too, but hands down, Dr Suess takes it all for picture books!

All a matter of opinion, I guess. What about The Candy Shop War? It's a little lower-level (think elementary school), but it's still really good and has time travel and magic candy and stuff.
Now it's the weekend and I'm kinda bored. Since I have no life all I've done is play on the computer. And go to a movie.

Koin, I need you to 'babysit' (well, hang out with, as he's practically my age) Devin tomorrow for me.
I made brownies in the microwave once. Not a good idea, let me tell you.

Maximum Ride (wasn't my favourite)
