Does anyone recall who OC said where he was placing his vote? I have a suggestion that may make remembering things easier. Perhaps we should all have an assigned "partner" that way we each only need to worry about what we did and what our partner did. That way you only have to worry about 1 other person instead of 9. I would suggest we all worry about ourselves and the person immediately beneath us in the list. The bottom person can follow the top one.
Since Kal is out (as per her final post last round) it would go like this:

Buu ----> dcf
Dcf------> Faith
Faith -----> HABS
HABS -----> J-boy
J-boy ------> Omar
Omar ------> Roman
Roman ------> SirHar
SirHar -------> buu

This way too, we don't have to rely on players taking advantage of the blank round - no one can say "I say X, last round" as their shadow can either confirm or deny the statement.
Ideas? Comments?

I'm confused... There was a majority on OC, but no one was fired except for OC? And I'm pretty sure OC was on the voting list, so if OC voted, how did he get fired? Cuz he couldn't have been included in a majority for himself...

I see what you're saying HABs, about how we won't have to remember who voted for who that way... Only thing is, at least 2 of those votes won't be real... and we'd have to really rely on people following the system... Cuz one person out of line, and we end up with a majority...

The partner thing is a good idea, HABS.

I don't think it matters much where OC had his vote. It's clear that someone was lying. We had a majority of four people on OC. I remember that HABS, Omar, 21, and buu all said they were voting for OC. So, that means either OC was a mandatory, was involved in another majority, or was the rat. Regardless, I don't think it tells us anything.

Safety for Faith.

How would one person not following the system create a majority? this has nothing to do with who each of us is going to vote for, but rather a way to keep track of previous rounds. I am not saying only remember the votes, but take not of anything of "note" that the person you are following says that may mean something later. The fact 2 votes are fake is true even in a regular game in which we can go back and check. Just to keep everyone in line when stating what we said the previous round.
For example if I were to state right now - Last round, Jayo started the majority on OC, both the person keeping track of Jayo and the one keeping track of me could say "no, you voted for OC as a safety before anyone else did."

As OC should not have been a lemming, not having joined any majority, the only way I see him getting fired is if he forgot to vote. Assuming he was a mandy, the fact the boss chose not to fire anyone else (he could have fired 1 more I think), could be telling in itself.

Also, the boss changing from a more elaborate detailed memo and Psych answer last round, to this one word answer last round, may indicate we were on to something last round. The single word answer tells me that the boss is afraid of being found out via writing style. I tend to give lengthy psych answers that while saying a lot, basically say nothing. This one word answer suggests to me that the boss is possibly inexperienced, or was found out easily in a prior game when boss.
Dfc was boss in a recent game, so I will go back and read that game (2945) to see if the memos follow that game.. I was boss in 2928 if you want to see my boss style. . .

Well, you're the boss Jayo, it is your game after all. I do however respectfully disagree and believe I have just found a loop-hole. We are still relying on memory, just not our own.
But if you say, no, then no it is.

I wrote a voting list yesterday, and from my recollection 4 people voted for OC and 2 people voted for Faith. Everyone else received either 1 or no votes. I can't remember specifically who voted for who though. For right now I'm putting in a safety vote for dcf525.

Now that violates the rules, unless you are discussing a list you posted in the chat. If you made a paper (or electronic list) outside the game, then we can't use it.

I am aslo leaning Faith.

HABS, I didn't mean that the 2 fake votes would screw things up... just that if some people follow the pattern, and someone randomly votes for someone (who was already being voted on using the pattern), then we end up with mini-majorities... So I mainly meant that if we're going to do it, it helps if EVERYONE does it... cuz a few people not doing what everyone else is (NOT counting the Boss and the Rat) can still screw up a plan...

I think Omar was simply stating that he had typed one up yesterday (it was in yesterdays discussion)... He was the one that posted it, correct?

And I agree the Psych answer was one word, but the Memo was still wordy... Feels like a set up to me, but I think it would be foolish for the Boss to use their own style, as it would just point fingers at them...

I was in the last game where dcf was the Boss... But what are the odds he'd be the Boss in 2 consecutive games?

I meant I wrote a list on the discussion page after SirHar asked me to, but just like every other post made last round it just says "Blank" now.

The odds are 1/10 1/15 or 1/20 every game. You have exactly the same chance of being boss in every game. I played at least 10-12 games before I was the boss, then I was boss 2 games in a row. I've played 56 games and have only been rat twice. So you can't use that to mean anything.
I don't know the boss would hide their writing style, I know that I don't hen I'm oss. You just need to know how to speak like a politician - say a whole lot but don't say a thing that means anything. Just look at my Big Boy answer in the game I referenced. it was lengthy but told the players almost nothing. I
In fact, a smart boss would write just like they normally do, then claim a frame stating "It can't be me, the boss would not write like tey normally do, but try to sound like someone else".

Okay since we are leaning towards Faith, I think we should get a majority on her this round. I'm changing my vote to FaithDushku. If she's not the boss, at least we'll be able to clear her.

i am fine with HABS plan. it would sure reduce the problem of remembering lots.

dcf, i am on your tail

i put a vote for roman on my way in. i kinda feel like the boss isn't har. there's no way he'd give just a one word answer to a psych like that. he'd definitely feel the urge to make fun outta it or something.

will change my vote to faithdushku on my way out.

I guess I was the person who first suggested Faith so now I'll help with the majority on her.

Actually, Buu, it is you who is misunderstanding. Jayo said we are NOT allowed to implement my plan as he sees it as violating the rules. My plan never included writing any thing down as that would be against the rules.

um, wow. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding, and bnot just Buu. I think the Mod was saying we could not go back and look at old games. Can we have some clarification please?

I will join the majority to clear Faith, even though I doubt it is her.

Looking back, you may be right, since his saying "no" immediately followed my post suggesting going back to look t games.
If that is the case, then I still object (with the utmost respect) to the ruling as this would be cheating, as not everyone in this game was in either of those game. Yes the point is to test your memory, but if you were not actually there? Having never played with certain players - how can you be certain what their normal style is like? Take for instance the "dispute" earlier in the game about Har being the boss. Those of us who have played with him in the past can state emphatically that he is not the boss. This has nothing to do with memory, but of understanding playing styles. That is what I was suggesting with the idea of looking at old games, to get a sense of players normal styles.
However, Jayo is in charge and what he says is the way it is, so we will have to abide by his ruling.
