This Sherlock-themed WTB is made partly as a sequel to my Elementary game with a few differences. The boss is Sherlock Holmes and the rat is, quite obviously, Doctor Watson. The employees are all criminals, but a few have special abilities.
If you are not my friend, you are just a PM away :-)
Don't worry about memorising these! You only need to have a passing knowledge of the coloured roles. You also don't need to know anything about Sherlock Holmes. It just helps to keep this page with you when you need it.
MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT! I HAVE PUT DESCRIPTIONS IN WHITE! DO NOT HIGHLIGHT UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPOIL THE STORIES, BBC EPISODES AND MOVIES!
Professor James Moriarty: The iconic Sherlock Holmes villain and his intellectual equal. As Moriarty, you can choose one other criminal. You cannot be killed unless that criminal gets killed. Sherlock Holmes will know your role but not the other criminal's.
Colonel Sebastian Moran: Colonel Sebastian Moran is Moriarty's right hand man and a very skilled sharpshooter. Once a game, you can shoot any person in the game. If they are a criminal or Watson, they get mod-fired. If they are Sherlock Holmes, then his identity is revealed.
Irene Adler: Adler is an opera singer that once got hold of a scandalous photograph. Irene Adler is the one of the few people who have tricked Holmes. As Adler, you get protection from Holmes in the first and second rounds.
Charles Augustus Milverton: (Or Magnussen if you prefer.) Charles is a professional blackmailer who has ruined many people's lives. Milverton can directly send PMs to other people still alive in the game. However, they cannot reply back.
John Clay: John Clayfounded the Red-Headed League so he could drill underground and rob a bank. Clay has no special abilities, but if you can survive for three days you can consider yourself a 'moral winner'!
Jephro Rucastle: Rucastle, first seen in The Adventure of the Copper Beeches, locked his daughter in a room to get her money. Like Clay, you do not have any special abilities that you can use during the game.
Baron Adelburt Gruner: Adelburt is a criminal that murdered his wife (and planned to do it again) who appeared in The Adventure of the Illustrious Client. Adelburt also has no special abilities he can use.
Shinwell Johnson: Shinwell Johnson used to be a criminal before he met Holmes and became an informer for him. If Sherlock Holmes wins and Shinwell Johnson was alive in the last or second-to-last round, then Shinwell also wins.
Doctor Grimesby Roylott: Grimesby Roylott appeared in The Adventure of the Speckled Band, killing one of his stepdaughters and attempting to kill the other one. Roylott has no special abilities, although he does have a cheetah.
James Windibank: Although not a criminal under the law, Windibank (from A Case of Identity) tricked his stepdaughter into not marrying, and therefore, earning her money. Windibank does have an ability: for a day, he can choose one person and edit any of their posts (by asking me).
Mr. Woodley: In The Adventure of the Solitary Cyclist, Woodley harassed a woman and soon tried to forcefully marry her, just before being stopped by Holmes. Woodley does not have any special abilities.
Jonas Oldacre: Oldacre faked his death and framed a boy simply to get revenge at his mother in The Adventure of the Norsewood Builder. When Oldacre dies, he can talk for a day by PMing me.
Lord Henry Blackwood: Blackwood actually isn't Doyle's creation. He first appeared in the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movies. Using the aid of chemicals and a corrupt executioner, he faked his death under Watson's nose. Blackwood can 'revive' just like Oldacre, but he can stay for the entire game until he is killed again.
Mary Morstan: In the books and the movies, Mary Morstan, the wife of Watson, was just a simple citizen, living peacefully with him. But in the BBC Sherlock series, Mary is a skilled assassin that nearly killed Charles Augustus. If Mary is alive at the last or second-to-last round when Watson wins, Mary also wins!
Jeff Hope: Hope is a murderer with one significant advantage: he is a cab driver. Hope drives his victims to a secluded place and then soon kills them. Nobody suspects the cab driver - only the person in the cab. Hope has no special abilities.
Jack Stapleton: The antagonist of The Hound of the Baskervilles, Jack Stapleton used a dog to kill his brother and nephew to inherit the Baskerville mansion and money. Stapleton has no special abilities.
Jonathan Small: Also known as the Mayfly Man, Small attempted to kill Major Sholto, Watson's former commanding officer, for 'killing' his brother when in fact Sholto had nothing to do with it. Small has no special abilities.
The eighteenth person will become a new criminal in London with any name they choose. They can also choose one of these three abilities: First round immunity, Edit one post each day or Change alignment.
Anyone who has played Elementary will get a higher chance of becoming one preferred role! PM when you sign-up if you would like this.

I will sign up...I was thinking about doing my own game but I'm about to leave for a vacation and I won't be able to post as much or as long or be as active as I can at home.
I don't want any role in particular...well I would like to be Holmes or Watson but I doubt you can help me there sonic

Also, I added a link to Elementary.

Gosh .. sonic .. I would humbly request you to modify the roles to be spoiler free ..
I am yet to read some of the short stories .. ..
And a few would be wanting to watch few seasons of Sherlock .. !! ..
You could keep it Sherlocked themed .. But chose characters.. that are spoiler free .. !! ..
Or else remove the descriptions .. and give them powers not correlated to descriptions ..
Personally I have watched all the episodes of Sherlock BBC and Elementary .. But I am yet to read a few episodes of original books, and had read 3 volumes of Conan Sir long way back .. so have no hard memories .. and would be happy to read them a fresh ..

Sorry ankit! I put the text in white now so anyone who has already read/watched or doesn't care can highlight it.
I do think it is better to match abilities with descriptions in WTB and WWG games. A human in a sci-fi game should probably have an ability to do with intelligence, while dwarves should have something to do with, say, their craftsmanship. But that's just me.

That was so awesome of you sonic .. ..
And I agree with you, that if the abilities match up with descriptions, it makes much more sense .. !!
Lets all of us have a great game .. !!

We already have a spider in this web
Every problem can be solved with a trick but finding that trick itself needs another trick.

We're going quite well. We've overtaken everyone by a lot. This will fill quite quickly.

Seems I'm the only one still here and the mod has not been online in more than 2 weeks. Going to either join another game or start one of my own.
