Thanks Caberooski
The group said their blessings and the feast was on. Markus's yams proved to be an instant sensation, not even one was left uneaten (wtf is a yam anyway?) Everyone was enjoying the festivites when Markus took a bite of some unknown dish. He excused himself from the table and was not seen the rest of the night.
Markus was NOT the seer
ankitankurddit - Mushrooms
bradon182001 - Pumpkin Pie
caberet - Cranberry Sauce (my favorite)
debc1 - Mashed Potatoes and gravy
Evita - Hard Apple Cider
GreenApples27 - Orange Juice (freshly squeezed)
HarryPutter - Maple Syrup
ka-ching - Candied Sweet Potatoes (my dad makes great Sweet Potatoes)
Longhorn_fan - Rolls
rolugomi - Pudding
Smithy - Alcohol (rather generic but ok)
snowmonster - Corn Casseroles
StewieGriffin - Stuffing
Round fun
Everyone share a brief Thanksgiving story or memory, if you do not celebrate TG, just come up with some kind of feast oriented memory

I started this round by checking into the game. There were 8 hours left if I remember correctly, but I really wasn't paying attention until the Notification popped up. Anyhoo, the wolves all voted early.
Markus - Why do they always eat Markus early on?
Ok, so Har was Human. That probably means that the later voters for him were human, since wolves prefer not being called out for shooting 2-leggeds. BUT, if either the Evita or Snow majority was on a wolf, then all bets are off. Nothing helpful occurs to me at this time.
Going to see what Markus said that might have made him stand out...
Edit: Markus placed an early vote for ka-ching (who made a bold escape last game) and went on about 'stringing a pot.' Perhaps the former rather than the latter caught the wolves ire!
Holding my vote until someone gets my wolfie-senses tingling...

Didn't want to shoot Har. blah Fish for Stewie for the time being. I'll be back.
Please, even jokingly do not refer to 'online' issues, thanks,

Thanksgiving story:
Well nothing exciting, I just remember when I was a kid having a big Thanksgiving dinner every year with the family. It was nice to smell all the food and eat all the goods....only bad thing is I am from a German family so the men got to eat first when the food was hot and the womwn and children had to wait till all he men were finished. Kinda strange for a holiday that celebrates family and togetherness. But our family did it every holiday. Any way, most of my family is deceased at this point in my life so Thanksgiving is relativly small but it is still about family and now we all eat together. I am excited to get to share with my daughter and spend family time with her, teaching her about family and tradition and also making new traditions.
Now onto the game.......
Markus huh?? Interesting choice.
I found it amazing how the vote switched yesterday from snow and evi to Har.....I was just trying to make a different point, did not mean to change peoples votes.
At this time I have no suspicions but I will continue to pay attention to other's and debate their roles in this game. Going to fish for the time being.

Thanksgiving memory.... mmmm.
There could be last Thanksgiving at my mom's parents'. The kids are old enough now that there's not a whole lot of mess or fuss. Most of us enjoy coffee and good conversation. It was the first time Uncle Robert had made a salad for us and Aunt Janyce was the life of the party, as usual. It's not so much a memory of an event as a memory of a feeling. The feeling that we all enjoyed each other and consoled one another over the Lions' latest loss on a cozy afternoon over coffee.
Other than that, on the other side of the family, my cousin and her boyfriend announced their engagement last Thanksgiving. haha That's more of an event, so I guess it works better.

Tgiving Memory
My 1st time doing the whole turkey feast myself when my daughter was 9. I had gathered everything together ahead of time and merrily started cooking that morning. Didn't take much time to figure out that I was in over my head! Long story short, we had to make 3 visits to Safeway!
The last was for a pie tin. They were all out and what's Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie? A sweet security guard took pity on us and let us have an expired pie. He was adamant about making me promise to discard the organic matter and only keep the tin. (I kept my word, naturally!)
When everything was finally finished, we enjoyed a delicious feast!
Thanksgivings since have been much more orderly. But we sure laughed a lot on that 1st one!
Loving reading about everyone else's memories. This was a splendid idea, Spider!
Still haven't any idea who's getting my fish vote this round. I'll be back...

Cab, it's a fish. There doesn't have to be rhyme or reason to it. You just put your foot in.
debc1:
Sorry, that had nothing to do with the game.
Feeling Cab as human; she's not giving off her wolf vibe, however strangely her playing is. Longhorn, too. She's still kind of her own self. Those are two distinct inclinations I have off the top of my head.
Maybe too soon for this? Looking twice at Bradon. I couldn't even tell you why. It's not even a gut instinct yet. If she were a wolf, Cab's display might be a little better understood. haha Eh, it's possible.
Don't mind the idea of shooting Stewie, either. He's just quiet is all. Nothing solidly "wolfish" about him. ...yet.

Ask the girlfriend to help you? Call it a test of character. (; At our place, all the women help do the dishes together. Our family views doing dishes as a very social experience. haha We almost have more fun at the sink than at the table.Sorry, that had nothing to do with the game.

I'm still scratching my head over who ended up getting shot and eaten. I agree with Longhorn fan, amazing how the vote switched at the end. I've got to go back and see if I can determine anything from how it happened. Meanwhile, I'm casting a SPV for GA, just because he is usually who I vote for when I have no other suspects.
Thanksgiving memories, up until about 6 years ago, Thanksgiving dinner was always at my house. My house is very small, and the kids (mine, and my two sisters) were all close in ages with maybe a year in between a couple and 2 years between the oldest and youngest (7 in all) and because of the space issues, we always encouraged the little darlings to go outside and play after dinner. It seemed like a good idea at the time and kept over-crowding to a minimum. It wasn't until recent years (now that the "kids" are all adults) did we find out what mischief they really could have got into and quite frankly we are lucky that nothing serious happened during those outside activities. Some of the escapades involved setting off alarms and hopping on and off railroad cars. Thank goodness nothing bad ever happened and we all have stories to share and memories to cherish.

Ok I am not getting this.
Are you saying that if bradon IS a wolf then it is ok for cab to go off on snow for fish voting bradon?
Sorry, call me daft on this one but I thought cab was defending bradon and going after snow because bradon is such a "good wolf hunter".
How would cab be justified for the outrage on snow if bradon is a wolf?
Like what you love, and love what you got.

No, sorry, I didn't make that clear. haha My bad. I meant that if Bradon ended up being a wolf, Cab would warrant suspicion. If they are both wolves, there's an explanation for why Cab blew up over a vote in Round 1. That help?
I'd be quite embarrassed if bradon turned out to be a wolf.
Thing is, I jumped on the snow vote because it struck me as odd for a human to vote for a player that brings down so many wolves. Snows response is what made me keep my vote on her. Only at the tail end of the game did she start to sound right.
Not saying I was right or wrong, only time will tell that.
In the meantime, I'll place my SPV on someone.

First Turkey I made by myself was probably in 86. Husband was out of the military and we had settled into civilian life. I was brave and bought a whole turkey. Didn't know how to time it, so pulled it out about 3 times before it was completely cooked. Thank God for patient husbands. . . . everything else was done. . . just waiting for that dern turkey to get finished. Once done though, it was tasty. After that, I only bought Honey Suckle Whites with the button that pops up when it's done. . . . before my first attempt, I had bought a "turkey roll". . . I think that's what it was called. Not so good. Never did that again. Considering I was in my early 20's at the time, I think I did ok. Have learned a lot since then, and make a nice meal for our family every year, even if we go visiting, we have our own dinner as a family. Largest turkey I've stuffed and baked was about 22 pounds. Had to have husband lift it in and out of the oven. . . . but boy the left overs were good. I try to make everything from scratch - but have cheated with store bought pies. . . . LOL
Seer vote for Bradon. . . will there be any freaking out this round?! Subject to change if anyone starts to stand out, or if anyone decides to place bobby in a majority. . . . Not suspecting bobby at all, this is why it's a simple seer vote. . . and I'll change it if others jump on board and place her in a majority - unless she gives me reason to think she's a wolf. Got plenty of time to watch this round and how it may play out. . . .
** Caberet, you can have any excuse you want for jumping on me for giving bobby a "random" vote, but the truth is, it made no sense. I mean, you act like you know for certain that bobby is human. To me, that makes me wonder. . .

Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love.

Honestly, I'm more inclined to suspect rolugomi for some reason, actually no real reason, just a feeling. But will wait until there has been more activity from more people before I make any accusations.

I have never celebrated thanksgiving...
But I will tell a "feast" story nonetheless.
It was last year, and one of my little cousins (Henry) was turning four. Anyway, so we had a big Sunday dinner at my grandma's, with all the cousins round, to celebrate his birthday. My grandma baked this massive cake with the wiggles on it - Henry's favourite tv show. She brought it out, and it looked really lovely! We all sung happy birthday to Henry, and there were 4 candles he had to blow out. When the singing was over he blew out the candles, but the smoke got up his nose, and he sneezed, and all this gooey snot went flying out his nose and all over the cake!
There was no dessert that Sunday roast.
As for who I suspect, I have a weird feeling about Smithy. He barely posted last round (I only counted two posts), which is strange for Smithy, and he largely stayed out of the squabbles. However, his last post seemed weird. He was voting for Evita (who a majority was on) but said he didn't feel strongly about Evita, although he was voting her in the majority, and left his vote where it was. I just find it weird that he'd vote someone and keep them in the majority when they didn't have any feeling about them. Anywho, I'm logging a vote in for Smithy, but of course, as always, it's subject to change!

Honestly, just about every bit of that rather makes me think that Smithy is human. And even though he did feel "strongly" enough to vote in a small Evie majority (early in the game), breaking a tie involving her (later) just may not have been something he felt strongly enough for, especially with the newer evidence and posts that were up by then. (makes sense?)I have to say it. haha
GA BOTHERS me!!!
That one's for you, Har.
I have changed my vote. With this being round 2 and we did seem to get a majority on round one, we should work on one for round 2 as well.
I have changed my vote based on my readings.
Cab is very defensive most of the time, but in this game it just seems off. That is my justification for the vote. May change later if something new develops, but at this time I have settled on a not-random vote.
Like what you love, and love what you got.

Yeah GreenApples, same here, I have also never celebrated Thanksgiving
So, I will share some nice memory!
I will talk about my experiences about Shram Shibir - Work Camp - that I attended when I was in grade 4 or 5.
We stayed at school for almost 3 days.
On the first day, we reported to school, then we got ourselves cleaned. Then we gathered in the Auditorium, and then sang, and played some vocal games, and what not!!!
Then I think we again had something to eat, and then started the cleaning camp. We went on a cleaning rampage, cleaning every piece of paper from the school campus. The school was clear from the beginning, cleared by the designated authorities, but some small papers n stuff were left for us, mainly we had to remove the sand, that was also pretty clean, and dump it somewhere.
--- Sorry for long sentence constructions, but I am finding it little difficult to recall, and this had something to do with the concept of Thanksgiving which I learn as of now ---
Then we again refreshed ourselves, and gathered in the Auditorium, then we played Quizzes, History, Science, Environment, Geography, Maths and what not!!! We had real fun. Then we played some fun games even!!!
Then we ate dinner, and slept at night. And again woke up on the other day.
The remaining 2 days followed nearly similar routine, except that, we had dance competitions, debate competitions, etc etc instead of Quizzes on the coming days.
We also had Sports competitions on the Ground!!! It was really awesome experience.
We had lot of bad and good experiences, bad as like one of the profs chop his tongue in frenzy of the some sorta body stretching attack, rumor of ghost being seen in one of the dormitories, rumor of some minor theft... and so on... And good as like playing cricket in the dormitory all the night, learning things about room-mates and school-mates ...and also profs ...
At the end when we left, it was like, that --- Ohh man, these days should never end.
How can I link this to the concept of Thanksgiving as of today --- At that time without even knowing the true definition of gratitude, or knowing why do we say Thanks or Sorry --- I had unknowingly felt grateful of God, Parents, Friends, Relatives, Profs, Animals, Mother Nature, and Myself and some other stuffies.
So this my Thanksgiving Story.
Regarding my vote.
Ummmm I fish Harry.
Reason Harry has got my fish --- it is a Dolphin
So I take a fish from him --- he's given me a Shark
Above is a repeated joke, repeated for I don't know what reason!!!
Regards.

GA, I was rushing slightly when I posted at the end of last round so it may have been slightly confusing... but I believe when I voted for Evi, she had no other votes, and the majority built up around my fish. When I came back at the end of the round, Evi and Har were tied, with Snowy one vote behind... I didn't really have any human or wolf reading on any of them so the most "neutral" thing I could do was simply leave my vote there. To be honest it seems slightly redundant reasoning to me given that the other joint-majority turned out to be on a human anyway.
As for the activity level thing... As I believe I've said in eight or nine of my last 10 games, my activity level is solely based on how often I can get online. I'm thinking about getting that tattooed on my arm.

Yeah... Sorry for the non posting thing. College hax me really beat lately. I promise to get on and post more. I also am slumped with what to post about, I mean you all know I don't celebrate TG right. I mean the only meal I remember fondly about is my 21st Birthday. I went with my family and friends and had a buffet and a 4 course meal at a 5***** hotel, laid out just for, made me feel special. Spent the night there, nicest meal I ever had.
I will be back, also not feeling any wolf vibes yet.

I'm wondering about GA this round. I'll have to agree with ka-ching - his reason for voting Smithy isn't too sound. If he were to say it was a simple random "protect the seer" vote, I could accept that, but he didn't. Hmmm. . . . . Will keep my vote on bobby for now.

ankitankurddi, what a nice story and remembrance for you. In grade 4 or 5, how old were you? Is this something that all children do or was it something special for you, your school or your family tradition? I have learned and continue to learn so many things from my friends on Braingle that I would never have the opportunity to learn first hand any place else. For that, I have to be thankful as well.
Okay, back to the game. Still waiting for everyone to have a chance to post.

Oops, I forgot to vote. Placing a fish on ka-ching solely because she's who Markus was after last round.
All this talk about Thanksgiving is getting me excited about the big day. We'll be spending it at my daughter's nice new place with a view of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. So lovely! This will be my grandson's 2nd Thanksgiving, but the 1st one that he'll get to enjoy the food. Can't wait!

Sounds exciting Cab. I know what you mean. My daughter is 3 and it is exciting because she is starting to understand holidays. Halloween was SSSOOOOOO cute when she would say "trick or treat" and then "thank you"

And in family, there are just common practices often influenced by the society and media, like bowing down to some of your elder relative, ... yea, this is a practice which may be little uncommon in the West. But here it is!!!
And in society, there are many practices of expressing gratitude n apology n stuff.
We have the word - Sukriya - for Thanks - But majority of the people uses the English version - Thanks.
Thanks for reading my episode, brandon. That was nice of you.

Sorry Smithy! I just realised what you were really meaning. I misinterpreted your post based on rolugomi's voting list he posted two posts above your post. I was under the impression you kept your vote on Evita when she had more votes than snowmonster and SirHar. So I thought it was strange for you to keep your vote on someone who was the sole majority, when you didn't even suspect them. Do you know what I mean?
And snowmonster... what are you on about my voting being sound? Why would you think I'm suspicion for having a sound vote? I'm not going to just fish vote in round two. Especially after an eventful round one. That's just being lazy... at least I took the time to try make something of round one.
Anyway, now I've correctly understood the Smithy thingy, I need to change my vote... I'm not sure who to at the moment. I'll leave it on Smithy and come back and change it later.
EDIT: So, ka-ching, do you still suspect me, now that you know how I misinterpreted the voting at the time of Smithy's post?

GA, I was under the assumption that you understood what Smithy was meaning. . . now that I know you didn't, I am not quite feeling the same. And I was just agreeing with ka-ching. . . so, why roll your eyes at me, and not her too! Not fair!

Sorry, snowmonster. at ka-ching.
Better?
But, I understand why ka-ching suspected me because I was the one who made the mistake - not Smithy. So I understand where she was coming from! That's why I didn't roll my eyes at her.

Sorry for not being too active this round :/ got a midterm in the morning.
I'll leave my vote on ankit, though we should really consider making a majority Probably should go for one of the non-voters.

I'm changing my vote to Evita. She hasn't appeared during this round, and I won't be able to get on again, so I have to go with what's happened so far. Unless I get on later tonight, this vote is pretty much locked in...

I rather wish a few people would follow my current vote (Stewie), just because he's borderline active and his posting wasn't as convincing as it could have been, all that jazz. Although, I know I can't count on that. It's a bad idea to rely on other people to change their votes into a majority. It just takes guts and if you're not willing to do it yourself, sometimes doesn't get done. Imma leave my vote for now, but keep close tabs on the list for a little while, here, and change my vote when/if appropriate.
So, ka-ching, do you still suspect me, now that you know how I misinterpreted the voting at the time of Smithy's post?
Yah. I didn't think you were making anything up or trying to make something out of nothing; your reaction to whatever you saw in Smithy's stuff felt off. How do I explain this? haha It wasn't exactly WHAT you said as much as how and why you did say it. Mostly the how. I think you're a valuable player, though, and I'd like to keep you around, so I'm not going to take this tiny inclination all the way. Not yet. You've still got breathing room. Putter said:

Heartily agree with this; thanksyou. I can't believe we're 6 hours from the end of the round and still have no inkling of a majority. I'd join your vote for Ankit, but I'm almost positive he's human. His playing's very relaxed. And if by "non-voters" you mean Smithy, I already stated my opinion on that. I rather wish a few people would follow my current vote (Stewie), just because he's borderline active and his posting wasn't as convincing as it could have been, all that jazz. Okay GA, I'll put it down to "non-suspicious misunderstanding" for now.

Why me, when there are three non-voters? As far as I can tell Putter showed no inclination to go for me specifically.
Never understand why so many people talk about how we should have majorities, then vote in a way that maintains the lack of one, even if temporarily. Whether or not you believe majorities are necessary (and there are good reasons to support either side), it seems strange to go against what you believe to be good strategy.
Personally, I think majorities are useful, even if only because near-random shootings can be consigned to players that, even if human, aren't going to help much. To that end (and at the risk of confusing GA again), I'm going to vote Evi again, purely because of her perennial near-inactivity despite being on Braingle frequently. It's not based on suspicion, so if anyone has decent reasoning against anyone else, that's a better route, but frankly I'd rather risk shooting a near-inactive human than some of the more useful players with votes. (I'm making the assumption that the odds of getting a wolf either way is about 1/5, as I have no real suspicions yet.)

Why me, when there are three non-voters?
I went over the voting list and apparently overlooked two of them. Sorry. Looked at it entirely wrong; I thought you were the only one.I'm in favour of the strategy, absolutely, but I also have a specific person in mind I think would be best. Still waiting for feedback on that one. And yah, I agree, if you want a majority, you have to start one. It's that simple. I was planning to wait it out just a little longer to see if I could get some people to agree with me. Leaving my vote where it is for a little while to avoid confusion isn't going to kill me.
P.S. Hahaha I love how Stewie is one of the non-voters and I never even noticed.

Finally got time to read through the posts and post myself, soooo, i've kinda got a dejavu (or however you spell it) feeling from the misunderstanding with GA from an earlier game (don't remember the exact one, so i don't think it points me more in the wolfy or humanly direction, i'm willing to go with Stu, since he had time to post and therefore an opportunity to vote but didn't (that kinda counts for me to but still, i had a teacher behind my back and i'll get expelled if he sees :p)
only "feast" i know of gotta be christmas, i still feel kinda left out for not knowing why thanksgiving's there
i might come up with some feaststory later but i've really got nothing to tell i think
Edit for failed emoticon :p

Fair enough, that criticism can't really be leveled at you given that you wanted a majority to form on the person you were voting for anyway... I guess Stewie's an equally reasonable candidate but I always feel bad voting for him given the number of games he's moderated that I've played in...
Plus (I hope this doesn't contravene Spider's rules about "online" discussions, apologies if it does), I'm not sure whether he's simply absent from Braingle, as opposed to just absent from the game, the latter of which is much more suspicious.
EDIT: Okay, Evi has voted... sorry Stew, but unless anyone has any good reasoning against anyone else, the only non-voter is the sensible way to vote.

Unlike with the departure of Har, the guests expressed quite some alarm over the ill-fated Markus. They wondered if they themselves were in danger, but they did recall Markus did spend the previous night in that Polish Sausage eating contest, finishing runner up. Nevertheless, the feast began in earnest as conversations of celebrations past began to dominate the table. Naturally, as it is with family, and an overabundant supply of alcohol, things got testy. People wondered what dish Markus might have eaten, others wondered why the Pecan Pie was finished so quickly, who ate the last slice they wondered? Eventually, a sour mood overtook the table and no one said much, especially Stewie. The guests noted that he was surprisingly reserved about talking and eating. Putting him on the spot, they asked him to eat some of his very own stuffing. Eagerly he grabbed a spoonful and drew it to his mouth. They say that was the day the keystone of his soul crumbled. He spends his days in fear and apprehension, muttering something about the cursed stuffing. He has good days and bad. Alas poor Stewie for his stuffing was cursed: for a piece of the host's turkey fell onto the spoon.
