TV Time
Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Five kids want to watch television, but their parents say only if they eat their vegetables. Your job is to figure out who ate which vegetable, what they watched, and how long they watched it for.
Kids: Herman (boy), Bob (boy), Joe (boy), Loopy (girl), Emma (girl)
Length: 45 min, 60 min, 75 min, 90 min, 105 min
Show: Looney Toons, Scooby Doo, Blues Clues, Rugrats, History Channel
Vegetable: broccoli, carrots, salad, brussel sprouts, asparagus
1) Herman who watched Scooby Doo got to watch 15 minutes more than Loopy, but 15 minutes less than the kid who watched the History Channel.
2) Emma watched longer than the kid who had to eat salad; she hadn't eaten carrots
3) Bob (who didn't have to eat salad) watched less than the kid who had to eat broccoli.
4) The kid who had to eat brussels sprouts didn't watch for the shortest amount of time, but watched for less time than the boy who watched Rugrats.
5) The kid who had to eat broccoli watched less television than the kid who had to eat carrots.
6) The girl who had to eat asparagus watched Looney toons, but did not watch television for the longest amount of time.

the teaser had nothing to do what house and it didn't say what show. I take it house 1 was the first show on the list but I am not sure.
By the looks of it the same mistake has been made, like the one made with the CD store. I'm sure it will soon be sorted out. It's still a good teaser
good teaser, but someone forgot to edit and proofread
I did not know that Loopy was a girl. I thought that Emma was the only girl, so I assumed that she ate asparagus and watched Looney Toons. Apparantly I was wrong. You might want to add that in somehow. Other than that, it was a great teaser, besides the editing mistakes obviously.
This teaser needs some work. With the clues provided, it is nearly impossible to solve. Many of the clues lead back to the person who watched TV the longest thus making them almost useless. It is never mentioned that Loopy is a gal. When you get to the solution, why are kids list with house #s. They should be listed with shows watched. Nice effort but please make the clues more meaningful and correct the solution to match the logic grid.
I was in the Army with a Loopy. I did not know he was a girl.
i remember putting in that Loopy was a girl, the editors must have taken it out
Can't solve it with the clues given, and who the heck wants to go find out what's showing on the History Channel?
I made the same mistake as others. I did not think Loopy was a girl! That made it pretty hard.
This was impossible for me to solve. Nice try though. I enjoyed boggling my brain while I tried to figure it out!
I had everything except Joe and Emma and it was impossible to tell who ate what. Good try though
you put house instead of show!
That was really hard.
Lots of TV
I read through it and didn't even want to attempt this one.
I thought this was excellent! I actually had to think, which has not been the case for many others. Nice work!
I thought it was great, and I got it just fine. I didn't assume Loopy was a boy's name, since it's only a nickname. I just assumed that was part of the puzzle. Great job!

Great - it took some thinking, but I managed to crack it. More please!
This is a hard teaser. I took some thinking but I got the answers. I had fun doing it!
this was fun! it was challenging, but fun. i had no clue loopy was a boy!!!!!!!!!!
Now that you've added who is a boy and girl, I could solve it. It took some thinking. Good one.
way to tough for me!
Clue 2 could be stated better. The first time through I took it to mean that Emma HADN'T eaten her carrots when she was supposed to and HAD to stay and eat them before she could watch TV. To get the right meaning across it should say that she didn't have to eat carrots.
Good puzzle. Had to start over 1 time.
Decent puzzle; not too hard but difficult enough to not be dull. DaveC's comment is correct, though minor given what is implied by the premise and other clues. The Loopy mistake has been fixed so I encourage others to have a go. Nicely done.
Couldn't figure it out. I got some of the answers and went over and over the clues but could not go any further and it had nothing to do with Loopy being a girl . . . don't know how anyone else figured it out.
From reading the comments...I guess I waited long enough for the apparent errors to be corrected. Now when I did it, it was fun and took some thinking and there were no errors or confusing clues. Nice teaser! Thanks for the efforts!!!
Funny how missing 1 little word in these things (like BOY) can make a grid so difficult. This should have been easier, but since I had a brain fart it took me about 20 minutes to complete. fun though.
Nice teaser! It definately took a few tries, but I figured it out.
This was a tricky one, took some time to figure out. I had no problem figuring out who was a girl and a who was a boy. It took a lot of going back to look to figure out the puzzle.
Good job.
Good job.
Very nice teaser! I actually had to think! A nice amount of difficulty without being impossible. Good job!
i solved it
I enjoyed the puzzle, and had fun solving it. Wasn't sure if Emma, who "hadn't eaten carrots," was to be interpreted as meaning she had to eat carrots before she watched TV, or if she "hadn't eaten carrots" because she had been served another vegetable. After I got stuck, I chose her being served another vegetable. I still enjoyed the puzzle, and look forward to the next one. After reading other comments, I'm glad the Loopy girl/boy issue had been addressed.
