Brain Teasers
Alcohol
There are three things on the table:
A shot glass that can hold up to 4 fluid ounces, a martini glass that can hold up to 16 fluid ounces, and a mug that can hold up to 32 fluid ounces.
All of them are completely filled with wine.
The shot glass contains 50% of alcohol. The martini glass contains 12.5% of alcohol. The mug contains 6.25% of alcohol.
Which contains the most alcohol?

Answer
They all have the same amount of alcohol.Since the shot glass can hold up to 4 fluid ounces, 50% of it would be 2 fluid ounces. The martini glass, which holds up to 16 fluid ounces, has 12.5% of alcohol, which is equivalent to 2 fluid ounces, just like the shot glass. The 32 fluid ounce mug has 6.25% of alcohol, which is also 2 fluid ounces. All of them have 2 fluid ounces of alcohol.

it's hard! this is very tricky I feel dumb but I don't feel dumb.
It's pretty cool, but, no offense, it was more of a simple math problem than a teaser.
That is simple, but I kept trying to find the trick. Miscategorised, I think.
Or maybe, the trick is that there is no trick...

Simple Math.
More pressing question: what kind of "wine" has 50% alcohol?!? Some new brand of Thunderbird? Nasty!!
Wouldn't this belong in math? Its clearly a math question, its a good math teaser, not a good trick teaser, but a good math teaser.
Wouldn't wine have the same alcohol-by-volume (typically 12%-13%) regardless of the size of the glass? So the larger the glass, the larger the volume of alcohol?
i do not think that teasers that have dugs in them should be on this site.
I thought it would be the same but I was not completely sure, didnt want to Google for the answer, lol!! Had fun, good one!!
This was ok, but a little too easy, and no tricks involved. Meh...
So, -annvie, luv- defend yourself Why does this one belong in the "Trick" category? Looks to me like the other folks are right - it's a math teaser. A moderately good math teaser with an easy -to-spot answer (did this one in my head - no pencil required ) Why is it in "Trick?"
This seems more like math then a trick teaser...
The category in the description says "Math." Anyway, good teaser (whatever category...doesn't really matter to me)! I kinda knew the answer but still had to check it out
very easy ^^)
Trick or Math, where's the teaser? Straightforward and simple math problem.
