My first's in desk but not in table,
My second's in willing but not in able,
My third's in urn but not in pot,
My fourth's in care but not in thought,
My fifth's in window but not in door,
My sixth's in many but not in more,
My seventh's in leave but not in away,
My whole means something to do with day.
What am I?

Cute teaser and way above average rhyme. Good for you.

Well, I didn't get it. Nice teaser nonetheless. Thanks for posting.

Yes, I agree the rhyme and rhythm flow exceptionally well. For me, however, there were too many clues that leave too many options! e.g. for letters 3 and 4 there are no letters in common. It makes it difficult; that's OK, but also removes some of the fun associated with this genre. Personal thoughts, not criticism!

@dalfamnest: I've never actually had the patience to solve this myself, nor any other riddle of this type. Thanks for pointing that out!
