Brain Teasers
Ex Words
The following are clues to words that start with "EX-", but the clues do not refer to the words themselves. They refer to the two words formed when the word is split after the word "EX".
For example, "Ships don't dock there any more" would result in the word "EXPORT (EX PORT)".
Can you get all five words?
1. They don't publish the news any more.
2. Money that isn't worth anything any more.
3. It's not boring any more.
4. It's not used to sleep in any more.
5. It's no longer at the end of the line.

I thought of"EXPENDABLE" (EX SPENDABLE) but exchange or extender works, too!

I thought the third was EX-CITING
I thought this was hard. I didn't get any right, but it did make me think. Therefore, good teaser. Thanks for posting.
Missed #3. I guess my brain is still asleep.
i only got the 1st one!
Easy I got them all. But it was still fun.
Good teaser.
Good teaser.
This one was hard. I only got 1 right.
Fantastic teaser!
Fun teaser!
Wow that was tough, only got two, nice one
I did not like this at all. I do not know how you get the words from the definitions you gave. For instance # 3 Not boring anymore. Shouldn't that be Exciting?

Fun! How about EXPOUND for #2?
AROB, but at least I got them all this time. Have a great day friends.
For number 3 I thought of exciting.
If you read the "rules" of the teaser they state that you come up with the new word, by combing the word "EX" with another word that fits the definition (the compound word has nothing to do with the definition). Exciting would not work since the word citing does not mean boring. The word "plain" however does (or can). Before criticizing a teaser answer for not making sense or that your answer is "better" make sure you understand the teaser.
Habd, don't be so smug.
Meant to say Habs.
Just not my cup of tea. My brain isn't working yet and even though it is a repeat I still didn't get them. On a lighter note, Good morning to good friends.
It's spelled wrong, but I thought EXPENCE (EX PENCE) would work for #2
Bestgirl, you're mistaken about HABS - he isn't smug. I've noticed he always can explain what some people miss in the rules. I appreciate his comments. This teaser isn't my thing at all - and like several of you, I also thought of exciting for #3 and didn't get any of the rest. Don't mean to make EXcuses here, but I have the flu and I'm EXhausted!
Loved the "good morning to good friends greeting" from Auntiesis
HUGS and greetings to my friends, too!

I agree with gaylewolf--not for the first time, either! Habs explained the issue very clearly for those who didn't get it.
For myself, I only got the first one, since newspaper and press clearly go together. The other associations are much more obtuse imho; happy for all of you who can think that far outside the box!
