wow that wasn't too hard but it took some time
Neither word came to mind, so the hint was no good to me. I never would have guessed answer. But had lots of fun trying, Good Job well done.
Nice teaser...good use of poem to get me in the rhyming mode...LOL I got it by going backward...got "litigate" and then worked back to "mitigate"...just more proof that I am wired backward...LOL
