Is William Shaking a Spear?
Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
An abnormal hunch I had, or perhaps not.
A bit of a curve in a particular spot?
Maybe? Maybe not!
Perchance my looks were just a simple Tudor plot!
Did a homicide I commit
On those two princes?
I do not know; yet, there is no doubt that I'm guilty
If Shakespeare's writing convinces!
Who am I?

Answer
I am Richard III.NOTE: The first two lines refer to King Richard III who was known as the evil king; a deformed and malevolent ruler depicted by later propagandists and, most famously, in William Shakespeare's play, The Life and Death of Richard III (1592). Sir Thomas More's description of Richard not only influenced Shakespeare but has held enduring sway over the popular imagination of Richard's looks to this day. More wrote: 'Little of stature, ill-featured of limbs, crook-backed, his left shoulder much higher than his right.' Even given that Shakespeare depicted him as a hunchback, there is a strong lack of evidence that Richard III was even deformed. King Richard is said, however, to have committed numerous brutal murders, including the callous murder of his two nephews, Edward Prince of Wales (the uncrowned Edward V) and Richard Duke of York, the so-called Princes in the Tower.

I think this should go in Trivia. It was interesting, but I don't know enough about Shakespeare :-(
if u no nothing bout shakespeare, u cant do this, it shouldn't be here
I thought the Tudors were only after Henry the Somethingth married Someoneelse after Richard the Third wasn't king anymore...
ViaTunisi: Sure it runs the realm of trivia, BUT it is still a riddle.
HoHoHo: I could use that same argument with every teaser on here I couldn't do! 'Oh, it's too hard, I don't know enough about that, it shouldn't be here!'
Melkor: I really don't know how to respond to your comment about 'Henry the Somethingth' who 'married Someoneelse'.

I only got this one because we're reading King Richard III at school...
Great teaser! I had absolutely no clue, but I like the riddle .
Nice riddle! BTW, the Tudor dynasty began with Henry Tudor, the Earl of Richmond, who defeated Richard at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485. After the battle, he was crowned Hanry VII and married Elizabeth of York (who, by the way, had ben considered by Richard as his second wife. Richard only backed off that idea because Elizabeth was his niece and public opinion would have been very opposed to such a marriage. Experts generally agree that Richard either killed his nephews himself or gave orders that this be done.
Ooops! That should have been Henry VII! Darn fat fingers!
Thanks Mosca
The note is out-of-date in light of recent developments i.e. the discovery of Richard III's skeletal remains with scientific research confirming it as his, and that his spinal cord did indeed have a significant deformation which supports the theory that he had this abnormality which would have been visible to others.
