Ditto! Liked the Sonny and Cher one particularly. Tick VG
good one. Enjoyed it.
Nice
very nicely done!
what are goober peas? peanuts are legumes
"goober peas" are peanuts.
I's an old, probably southern, name for them.
I recall in Jr High Choir singing an old Civil War folk song about eatin' goober peas, the teacher explained to us that the song was about having nothing to eat but peanuts, probably boiled peanuts, not roasted and salted or anything nice like that.

Fun teaser but the jury is still out over who is the predecessor of whom: the chicken or the egg.
That was fun!
I got everything except needle & thread! I think that's pretty good, huh? VERY enjoyable!!
Very fun and "punny" thanks!
very good teaser well done
This was a lot harder than it looked at first glance. I got most of them but not all. Good teaser. I'd like to see more like this one.
I'm with Bradon, I really liked this one, even though it made me think too hard. I would love some more, please.
That was a good one. Almost gave up on "Sunny & Share" (could figure out "Share" but not the other half) and then decided to give it one more shot. Glad I did as I got it that time!
wonderfully fun-let's have some more!
LOVED IT! GIVE US SOME MORE!
All I have to say is "NICE".
That was really fun!!
Very cool. I missed # 4 & 5.
This was a really fun teaser. I got them all but the Sonny and Cher one. Tricky!

I missed 1/2 of 1, and 5&6. Don't know needle and thread, Got share, not sunny!
Great fun. I didn't get them all but loved the concept.
Missed a few but enjoyed the teaser. (Never heard of Fife & Drum or Six Degrees and didn't watch Mayberry enough to know the deputy's name)
I loved it. Very good teaser, thanks for posting it. I only missed one. woo hoo.

A very ecclictic mix! I don't know if I agree with mixing painfully obvious pairs with pop culture pairs with obscure old-tyme pairs (who thinks fife & drum is a common expression?) But it still took some thinking. Well done.
I loved this puzzle!! This is my kind of thing! And, I didn't get them all right, but still loved it!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Good Grief! this is the THIRD time I've tried this puzzle and still missed 2 of them.
Great teaser! Only missed Sonny and Cher Thanks for posting!
Overall, a nice little teaser. I don't agree with the use of the homophones, though, since there was no indication of this in the directions or example.
I only missed Sonny & Cher, the rest were not too tough. Maybe I remembered them from last time.
A nice mix of very easy to quite difficult. I got some but not all of them.
Missed Sonny and Cher. I was thinking SHARE, but couldn't put it together. Hi GW, how have you been?
also missed S&C, but got the rest-should have persevered! it was a whole lot of fun!!
I liked these and missed a couple too! Thanks for the greeting, CB - I'm doing fine. I'll send an email and tell you more! Happy Labor Day weekend to all who celebrate it! Happy September to ALL!
still missed S&Claire again enjoyed it thoroughly!
I honestly didn't even know most of the pairs when I saw them, maybe I should go out more
But I did relatively well for only knowing about three of them

I don't remember if I did this one before but I had fun! Hang in there brainglers, and remember "keep coming back, it works."
By the way, if you check the title you will realize thar sonny and Cher are indeed a famous pair.
This was fun. I missed a couple of them, but enjoyed the challenge! Thanks for posting!
I missed 1 and 5. I kept thinking of the hi-hos instead of the whistling, and I thought of inventory rather than company shares.
Clever and fun!
That was really good. Just enough thought had to go into them. I got them all, even though I never heard of fife and drum!
