The Werewolf Game
Game #2856: Sleepless Nights 11
This private game is moderated by Rhythmic. Please read the rules and contact the moderator with any questions or concerns about this game.
This game finished in 10 rounds.
It's back!
The Rules
This will be a 20 player game which means there will be 4 Werewolves and 1 Seer. There will also be 3 Oracles (see below).
General Rules:
1) Please RFM the first post of each round so I can reveal the identities (Werewolf, Human, Seer, or Oracle) of those killed in the previous round.
2) I will also reveal when humans in the Seer Talk Box are killed.
3) There are no other clues given by me in this game.
4) This is a private game. If you want to join PM me.
Werewolf Hunting Grounds (the Werewolf Talk Box)
1) All Werewolves will be invited to this Talk Box at the beginning of the game.
2) Any Werewolves killed in the game can remain in the Talk Box.
3) At the end of the game, everyone will be removed and the threads will be deleted.
Seer Sanctuary (the Seer Talk box)
1) The Seer will be the only human invited to this Talk Box at the beginning of the game.
2) As the Seer divines humans and lets me know or as humans are killed, I will invite them to the Talk Box.
3) If the Seer clears a human and they are eaten, they will still be invited to the Talk Box.
4) If the Seer is killed, I may invite random humans to the Seer Talk Box at my discretion. Normally, this will be every other round starting with the round after the Seer dies. For example if the Seer is killed in Round 3, I will invite a human to the Seer Talk Box in Round 4, Round 6, etc. If I feel that adding more humans to the Seer Talk Box creates an unfair advantage, I will not add any more.
5) Anyone in this Talk that is killed in the game can remain in the Talk Box.
6) At the end of the game, everyone will be removed and the threads will be deleted.
The Oracles
1) 3 humans randomly selected by the moderator at the beginning of Round 2 will be The Oracles
2) Initially, no one except the moderator knows the Oracles' identities
3) If an Oracle is invited to the Seer Talk Box, The Oracle and an additional randomly selected human will be added to the Seer Talk Box
4) If an Oracle is invited to the Seer Talk Box, I will announce it (but not the person's name) at the start of the next round
5) If the Werewolves eat an Oracle before the Oracle is divined, I will randomly give them the name of one living person in the Seer Talk Box
6) If an Oracle is shot with the silver bullet, nothing additional happens.

The Story
The village of Harmony was not as peaceful as its name might suggest. While in the past it was known for tranquility and joy, it had become known as a place of fear and anxiety. Beginning a few days ago, death visited the village nightly. It started with a traveler who was staying in the inn on his way to one of the larger cities. He was a friendly man who mostly kept to himself. The innkeeper was beyond shock when she went to check on him late the next morning. All of his belongings were still in the room, but the only trace of the traveler was the blood covered sheets and drops leading to the open window. Supposing the incident was an isolated incident, the villagers went about their day as best they could. Most assumed someone followed the traveler into town and left after the deed was done.
However, the next morning the priest noticed that the old widow was not in the church garden as she normally was when he arrived. Fearing the worst, he immediately ran to her home to find a similar scene as the night before. Word spread quickly through Harmony and the people knew something must be done. A night watch was established and the villagers agreed that all doors and windows must be kept locked for the foreseeable future. The evening seemed to come faster than normal and the villagers got little sleep that night.
As the sun rose, fear had not left the village. Most were scared to open their doors, let alone set foot outside their homes. It didn't take long for the bell in the square to ring. The blacksmith who had been part of the night watch was missing. The other guards had found traces of his clothes which were stained with blood at the post he had been assigned. The leaders withdrew to try and figure out what to do. The other villager huddled among themselves filled with a mix or sorrow, anger, and fear.
Meanwhile, the carpenter's son and daughter had taken a walk through the trees they knew so well. It was not unusual for them to stroll through the woods, but this time was different. It was as if they were drawn there for some reason. They were drawn to an old scraggly oak tree. Their hands explored the tree looking for something unknown. Together they found a metal box with papers inside that looked practically new. As they took the papers out, words slowly appeared. The astonished children quickly put the papers back in the box and ran home to tell their father.
After reading the papers himself, the carpenter took the box to the mayor and the other town leaders. After more discussion the leaders posted the papers near the bell in the square.
They read:
People of Harmony beware.
Among you are some who are not as they appear.
Twenty of you have been chosen that can bring the end of the discord.
Four have been cursed with a hunger so foul
That can only be satisfied with human flesh.
Each night one will be taken never to be seen again.
Nevertheless, there is hope to be had.
Even though it is small, it must not be forgotten.
One among you has been blessed
With a sight to see what is true.
Three among you have hidden sight.
When the one or the four finds the three
Three will be revealed.
Twenty of you have been chosen
That can bring the end of the discord –
The four, the one, the three
Plus twelve.
Before the sun sets each night,
The twenty must choose amongst themselves
One that will be slain by a bullet of silver.
In this way the curse can be broken.

Can I be the librarian?
Sorry if that is misspelled.
I'm on Braingle far too long, I stay on the computer from dusk to dawn. Playing games and chatting with friends, the novelity of it never ends.

A shopkeeper would be a fine profession to have in this town. Would the two of you (koin and kajish) like to work in the same shop? If not how would your shops be different?
Posting the others above momentarily.

Hahaha deb. I'm guessing you either pre-wrote the rules and story or froze time at 12: 01 am this morning. Erm... can you choose for me? I don't know.
Really, kajish? I posted an hour before you, there weren't even any posts in between. Can my shop be the monopoly that sells everything and is driving kajish's shop out of business?
