Hi everyone! Thought I should give these games another try. Not sure if snow wants the first post or not, but reserved it anyway; if she doesn't want it, I'll just change it to a picture of an ostrich or something.
EDIT: Gosh, just read through all the posts on the previous page. Sure took a while. Gleaned some great advice, though. And congrats, Jayo!

I would normally vote for Jayo, but in honour of his news, I will grant him a reprieve. I will instead place a SPV for Randy.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

It has started! Since it is pretty early in the game, I'm going to SPV for J-boy.

What a nice surprise to log on and find the game had started. Will SPV for deb, but only because I always SPV for Deb to start. Most likely will change to an inactive if there is one.

IC told me I should join and I told her she ought to remind me to check in since it's been ages since I played a WW game and just got the DING thing, thought it was my cousin Josh actually, and so here I am.
Haven't the foggiest idear who to vote for or against as the case may be so I'll wait and see if a majority forms. Unless it forms against me... just seems a bit MPD meets masochist to vote for yourself in this one.
Edit... okay so I went and looked and everyone is voting for everyone else and it's all chaos. So... yeah. Since I've NO clue at all, and don't want to scotch those who do know what the devil they are doing I shall vote for myself.... if I can? and that way if it's me that gets the majority then that's that, and if it isn't me then I didn't screw anyone else over. Eh, it's a theory.
Edit again. It DID let me vote for myself. And thanks to scrolling past THAT I know what I am... bit late in the day but there it is. OY this is what comes of peer pressure. Just say no kids, just say no.

Hi everyone... I voted for guamgirl... just a SPV.
It's been a very eventful couple days. My mother in law, who is 94, on Tuesday afternoon walked up the street and proceeded to trip on a 3/4" raised section of the city sidewalk. She is now in the hospital for her 3rd day... about 2 hours ago they took her into surgery to repair her left shattered arm. Bones get weak as you get old. She is in good spirit, but she sure looks like heck... both eyes are black and blue from crashing face first into the concrete and trying to stop her fall with the left arm. We have good neighbors... several came to her rescue and called the paramedics. We live next door to her, just in case you were wondering... so we rushed up about 8 doors... when they were nice enough to first call us, and to also sent a runner down to tell us.
So I apologize for not being real active right now... but beings the game is up and going; I will be here. Like I said, she is doing fine... she is a great person and her mental state is still just as strong as ever.
When you Love someone, Love them with all your heart as you never know what can happen today!

Wow! So much activity! That's awesome! Finally got off on school holidays so I'll be able to participate fully. For now I'll put an spv on LH.

Good morning.
SPV for now
EDIT:
Vlerma and Stewie are the only ones who have not voted. I did not realize HABS already had a vote on her when I voted. I will change to someone else as to not have a majority just yet

Hey Randy - sorry to hear about your MIL . . . I hope she heals quickly and is not in too much pain.
Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love.

Well wouldn't you know, the game started last night and that is the first night for ages that I went to sleep early and slept all night through, even though it was seated upright in my big chair - slept like a baby with the TV on all night.
Gosh Randy, hope your M-I-L heals well and fast. Nothing like a fall to make us wonder why we ever started walking up right any how. Bad joke. But as long as her mental strength stays with her and her faith in the Healer she will do well.
Yes I am about the last to vote and even though Jayo has reason to celebrate, I must bring him back to ground a bit and register a vote for him, simply to continue a choice of no duplicate votes.
Ok Stewie, I guess they are waiting for your vote now.
Old custard, since you seem to have left, it was your loss, but glad Seeker joined us.

The sound of the wild, but if there is no one there, does anyone hear their howls?

Still no Stewie. Will wait for a while longer to see if he shows up. If he doesn't log on or vote, then I'll switch, Everyone else is active, glad to see that.
Hey Seekr, glad to see you back. We missed you in Game 31 of 1 vs 100. Good to see you, Vlerma.
So sorry to hear about your mil's fall., Randy. God Bless Her, out walking by herself at 94 years young. I do hope I have my independence when I reach that age.
Edit: And Piney, what a pleasant surprise!

Looks like a coin toss for the first shooting... as a human, I can live with that... I have seen the wolves lose more than their fair share with a coin toss vote.
MIL is doing better, thanks all for the wishes and thoughts. She is being transported to a minimal care facility (hospice?) almost as I write this, for a couple days to make sure the pain has subsided and she is capable of taking care of herself. Her surgery was good... the cast will be on for about 4 weeks... I think the word we heard about her arm being shattered was a bit over emphasized... it was probably more like a chip, but a very painful chip.

I have never fully understood the logic behind this statement. I mean, when one says they "slept like a baby" they are indicating they had a good sleep and likely slept the whole night through. But anyone who has dealt with an infant knows they wake up every 3-4 hours. How is this a good night sleep?
lol
Chip/Fracture/Break/Shattered - all sound equally painful. I am lucky I have not broken anything as I too have very weak bones (I see a geriatric bone specialist (my bones are about 30 years older than I am)). I have only known 2 people with severe breaks - both broke their femur, one was 7 and the other was 30ish - both (according to their own words) "cried like a schoolgirl" - guess it is quite painful.
Less than an hour left in the round.
