The Werewolf Game
Game #3158: Plain Jane Werewolf Game
This private game is moderated by HABS2933. Please read the rules and contact the moderator with any questions or concerns about this game.
This game finished in 5 rounds.
Spider and I are discussing an idea he has for a game. Realy like the concept so may try it.
If not, it will be a plain game.
Will fill in more once details are hammered out.
It'll be fun
EDIT:
Okay so here is the game the way Spider presented it to me (feel free to weigh to add or correct anything Dan.
Each round, starting in Round 2, clues will be given to the identity of the wolves - yes wolveS
However, unlike in other games that use clues, the wolves themselves will write the clues. Each round will feature a theme. EG - Music, Movies, Television, Pop-Culture
1) These must be CLUES that lead to your identity - not just a prompt or memo like in other games.
2) Make them hard, but not impossible:
AS A BONUS - IF you think you know how this leads to me, PM me your explanations - Everyone who gets it correct will be entered into a random draw to win immunity for round 2.
3) Clues will be randomized, so that the same clue number does not always point to the same wolf. For example: In round 1: clue 1 is wolf 1, clue 2 is wolf 2 etc. BUT in round 2 - clue 3 is wolf 2, Clue 1 is wolf 3 and Clue 2 is wolf 1. You will not be told which clue is for which wolf.
4) All clues must be provided to me before the end of each night round.
5) Failure to send in YOUR clue will result in me providing the clue - trust me when I tell you - you do NOT want this.
6) When you send in your clue, you must also send me the explanation of how it fits you.
7) The seer must also send in clues. The first seer clue will be given in Round 3.
8. The wolves will have a TB to discuss the clue they wish to give and to help each other create the clues. This is the ONLY acceptable use of the box. ANY violation will result in the box being shut down immediately. This is ONE stirke and you're out. There will be no warning.
9) Categories for the first few rounds are as follows:
I) Music (link to an artist, song, video etc don't just give a random lyric)
II) Movies
III) Television
IV) Famous People
V) History
VI) Pop Culture
I think that is it for now. Any questions feel free to ask.

I will be updating the top post as the details are ironed out. Be sure to check back for any additions. Off course - the final draft will be posted in full in round 1.

Hmm interesting. Kind of hope I'm not a wolf this game...btw HABS do the wolves/seer have to explain to you how the clues point to them?

Cool, I like making clues so maybe I'll get the chance. Of course, with a user name like mine, TV references would be disastrous.

Very shortly actually, you posted just about when I woke up :p This sounds quite interesting, I do worry about my clue making ability though, not so much in clues, but, more in how I make clues that are useful.
I don't have much of a profile and a lot of people don't know me well enough to know my likes/dislikes soooooo, is that a problem? In the past, writing style and the way the clues were written ended up being more of a clue than the actual contents, that, and people trying to associate genders with the clue :p
And wow, Smithy, it hassss been a long time. I wonder if your last game was with me even :p *hides*
Hello, everyone, see some other familiar faces

Well there is a city called Limerick in Ireland

Nope, the US is right :p
I guess a better question is how figurable out do the clues have to be, i.e., does logic and Braingle alone have to be sufficient to solve the clue and point it to me? Or can clues also be getting to know me type clues, where people will be able to guess: Hmm, Limerick seems to be the type to like so and so TV show... Or...?
I am probably making this more confusing than it actually is xD
There is other info on your profile.
I once used a player's score on "Click the Button" as a cle that lead to him. The date you joined, your birthday, etc can all be used.
Any type of clue that may point in your general direction would be acceptable.

Why would I credit it to Spider if it wasn't his idea? I have run 13 successful games on my own (look at my rating), most having clues, or slight variations in the game.
Had I thought of the idea, I would have said so. There would be no point in saying it was someone else's idea - especially since that person can easily refute that.
I, however, give credit where it is due. He suggested it to me, so here it is.
I think he is only against clues in 10 player games.

time to TCOB over here as well
(im against clues in general because the difficulty is arbitrarily assigned by the mod) I was in the music thread in a TB reminded me of a music based WTB game that was fun, and it went from there. I dont love clues, but if the wolves make them at least they retain some degree of control over their fate
Even if clues are given by mod, so long as the wolves can in some way 'compete' for their release or something, that at least adds some control over the game. Just, heres a clue, heres a clue, type games arnt my biggest interest

The clue I gave that leads to me is totally solveable, yet no one has even attempted it yet.
Remember, solving it, could get you a round 2 pass.

Keep working on the clue guys. You have until Round 2 starts to send in guesses. So far only 1 player has tried.
Take it a step at a time.

Here's a (very simple) clue for whoviandeb: It's elementary, my dear Watson.
Watson = doctor
doctor = Doctor Who
Doctor Who = whoviandeb
inb4 the person who gets immunity D2 dies D1.

Well, then I guess that person is out of luck. It isn't fair to players who join late, or to the final player to join to hand out immunity before Round 1 as they don't have a chance to try for it.
From this point, I won't be saying who got the answer, just that it has been solved by X number of people.

NOTE: Clues must clearly point to the individual who wrote the clue. You do not have to make it at a 4 year old`s level, but it does have to be solvable and point only to you.
No framing another player by providing misleading clues.
