For most, I am made going left first then right.
Right-and-then-left's an unusual sight.
I'm used at the end when there isn't enough,
Sometimes I'm used to show other people's stuff.

Answer

The letter s.

Most people write an s from the top down, curving on the left first and then the right, though some do it the other way. S is used for many plural nouns and can also be used with an apostrophe to show possession (Clayton's).

The title refers to s's location in the English alphabet - the 19th letter.

I thought it was quotation marks. They go first on the left of peoples "stuff" (things they say) and then the right. Still, good teaser.

clever, fun, but very hard, I had to look at the hint and then I still didn't get it! I liked it though
