The Werewolf Game
Game #2275: The Right to Vote Too
This private game is moderated by Gizzer. Please read the rules and contact the moderator with any questions or concerns about this game.
This game finished in 7 rounds.
RFM.
Thanks, cinn!
As you already knew, Camillee was human.
I neglected to mention that 4 players solved the challenge in Round 4.
Clarification: I will not announce if a Sacrificial Lamb was needed if anyone earned the right to vote.
The rules state that I provide only the total number of players to earn the right to vote. If I were to reveal that a Sacrificial Lamb is needed, then I would be stating that no wolf earned the right to vote. If I were to reveal that no Sacrificial Lamb was needed, then I would be stating that at least one wolf earned the right to vote. Therefore, I will make no statement either way.
I hope I didn't cause a misunderstanding by announcing caberet and GA as Sacrificial Lambs. It was information I felt that players already had. Since no one had earned the right to vote in those rounds, no wolves could have earned the right to vote.
Round 5 Challenge
Of the seven words in each of given groups (1-3), five actually belong in the group. A sixth word belongs in one of the other given groups, and a seventh word belongs in Group 4. Sort out all the groups to earn the right to vote. (You will have 6 related words in Groups 1-3 and 3 related words in Group 4.)
Group 1: brown, candle, chop, fiddle, joy, pass, slap
Group 2: buzz, corner, field, grind, ham, mill, sand
Group 3: back, catch, collar, herring, match, whale, wish
Group 4: ???
Hint #1: What comes after is key, I swear.
Hint #2: 4423154215 2443 11 13211
Hint #3: Mary had a little Sacrificial Lamb?
Bone Toss: Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Curfew: 8pm Braingle time
This round's Scapegoat is LogicalRoger.

Ok, only four of us solved last round's puzzle and, unless I miss my guess, night timed out (does anyone know for sure?). There was no scapegoat, so at least one of the Wolves earned the right to vote. But why eat Camillee?
I had a good "Brain Day" yesterday and solved this round's challenge during the Night round. It was quite enjoyable: challenging but not impossible. I won't say anything about it yet; I'll give you all time to work on it for yourselves.
I also won't vote yet, but I will go back to see who was Inactive and possibly didn't solve the challenge.
Edit to add: Ok, the voting looked like this:
We know Camillee was a Human, and LR seems to have gotten the right to vote last round but not used it. So the four people with voting privelages in Round 4 were Cinnamon, Elios, Tan, and LR. At least one of us is a wolf.
I went back to Round 0, and a Scapegoat is assigned if no wolf earns the right to vote. So one of the wolves could vote but didn't necessarily. As was mentioned last round, the computer will eat in alphabetical order if no one votes, right?
Not sure if/how that helps us, but it's something to discuss at least.

You are putting yourself up as a possible wolf Elios?

BTW how lucky was that wolf shot? Not only was that just a completely random vote on my part, the computer randomly shot the wolf! Bought the Humans some more time.
Anyway, based on your reply, Shriya, I don't think you're a wolf. I don't think a wolf would respond that way to someone implicating themselves. I'm still suspecting Cinnamon, but it's a vague suspicion.
Edit to add: Oh oops - I just realized I said "Scapegoat" instead of "Sacrificial Lamb" in my first post. Sorry 'bout that!

Well, yes, I kind of had to. Can't escape the fact that I was one of the four to earn the vote last round. I expect to be framed today b/c of my lucky vote on softball - I could look like a wolf ratting on a fellow. Though, this late in the game, that would be a foolish move for any wolf. With so few people voting, and even fewer able to actively participate, much better to just lay low and let the Humans shoot randomly.BTW how lucky was that wolf shot? I have made an announcement in the first post clarifying the rule about the Sacrificial Lamb.
Elios we cannot prove one way or the other if wolves have earned the right to vote or not. The only sure fire way is if all wolves earned the right and they all vote to eat someone, in which the night round could end early.
Elios if you find me so suspicious then go ahead and vote for me. I am not a wolf in this game.
My gut is telling me Shriya is a wolf. I can't quite put my finger on it but that is where my vote is going again this round. My vote is subject to changeif I feel someone else looks more suspicious.
This rounds challenge is not hard at all. It was quite simple. I completed it in less than 15 mins.
Edit to add: Elios, to avoid the computer eating alphabetically if the wolves did not earn the right to vote, Giz would have assigned a sacraficial lamb to one of the wolves. They would of had to vote for them so they would be eaten. As Giz states above, she is not telling us if she has to assign a sacrificial lamb because then we would know if any wolves earned the right or not to vote.

Thank you for the clarification. When I posted, there was no note from Gizzer or added info about the SL - I was going based of the announcement last round ("GreenApples27 was the Sacrificial Lamb..."). My hypothesis is now moot, so please disregard said musing prior to Giz's posts & updates.
However, if the SL is assigned to prevent the 1st person in the list from being eaten, either Camillee has really bad luck to be chosen at random, or at least one wolf was able to vote. I'm bad with chance/probability but I'd lean more towards thinking at least 1 wolf voted.
Yeah, I do still find you suspicious Cinn. But it's probably paranoia - everyone is guilty until proven innocent. Still, I won't jump to hasty voting quite yet. I don't suspect Shriya, though, so, if nothing else, I will vote to protect her later.

A sort of large but at the same time small hint: all words are compound words, and the groups' identities are words that follow each given word (Hint 1 points to this, I believe).
I'm going to go ahead and vote now. I'll probably be back on before the end of the round, but there's a chance I won't be. So... yeah.
Edit to add: Oh, also felt it worth mentioning that I started with Group Three. Keep in mind that 5 of the 7 words in each original group go together.

The Bone Toss has been posted and curfew time established. Good luck!
Well, it is curfew time.
I'm going off-line for the night, so no one else will be able to earn the right to vote.
Discussion may continue.

More good news for the humans, Shriya was a werewolf!
Solution to the Challenge:
Group 1: candle, chop, fiddle, joy, match, slap (sticks)
Group 2: brown, corner, field, grind, mill, sand (stones)
Group 3: back, collar, ham, herring, whale, wish (bones)
Group 4: buzz, catch, pass (words)
Hints:
What comes after is key, I swear. This tells you that the words have something that come after them. After, key and swear are words that also belong in Group 4.
4423154215 2443 11 13211 The first part of this hint is a Polybius Square encryption; the last 5 digits are a teaser number. Together, they indicate that "there is a Common Theme"
Mary had a Little Lamb is a nursery rhyme, like the theme of this challenge.
Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me is the theme for this challenge.
Three players solved this challenge and earned the right to vote.
(A fourth Braingler who is not playing the game also solved the challenge.)
The lone wolf will be eating tonight - the only question is whether the remaining wolf earned the right to eat off the menu, or will be eating Sacrificial Lamb!
