Celt was a regular old human

you'll have to live without my sweet a$$ storytelling because my computer is unpredictably unstable

Updating the MKr rankings...not a lot of movement

Harry - 0 MKr
Deb - 5 MKr
Celt - 0 MKr
Smithy - 20 MKr
Jayo - 0 Mkr
Green - 0 Mkr
OC - 0 Mkr
HABS - 0 Mkr
Koin - 0 Mkr
Har - 0 Mkr

Note: The moment a Thing is killed, previous votes for him (even if they didnt result in the Thign being shot) will be added into the scores. However, a Thing must be killed for the player most important in its shooting (as deemed by me, be it human or wolf or even seer) to get the 50 MKr jackpot

Wow, quick night, nice job wolves! Less than 3 hours I think.

No one sticks out, but Jayo's last post was weird about people posting more... For now I will vote debc1.

I knew Har was "human" and eating felt wasn't a smart wolf eat imo but "live and let live"

I'm not sure who would choose Celt to eat over someone who makes a little more sense, like jayo or smithy maybe. I'm thinking one wolf is less experienced (OC or deb, possibly GA as he hasn't played in a while). The other wolf is a tougher call.

Reading through last round, I do think GA is a wolf. I think his post last round about how both jayo and Har were human is a common wolf tactic (one that I followed, I know ).

Now I'm changing my mind again. If he pretended to think celt was a decent shot, why would he be eaten, proving celts human-ness?

Spv for OC.

I am not inexperienced. I haven't been off for months or anything...

And I genuinely did feel at the time both were human, but now Jayo's post is making me wonder. Usually I get human tells from debc1, but haven't yet, explaining my current vote. Kind of shotty reasoning, so we can call it an SPV if we want...

EDIT: I wouldn't really call debc1 inexperienced either...

Would you call me inexperienced?

Unsure on why the wolves would eat celt. We'll see how the cookie crumbles this round.

SPVing now.

You are inexperienced, OC

And the reason I say the felt eat wasn't smart is because there was virtually no chance of him being seer.

You were voting for Celt, also human. Plus there was absolutely no reason Celt couldn't be Seer.

I think it's most likely the wolves are just helping the game along, taking out a quiet player, strategy wise it's an odd one though seeing as it dispels any possible suspicion from the shooting of Har over Celt.

SPV for now but I like that koin has come out with an accusation already, albeit one he quickly backtracked a bit on. I'll consider once I've woken up a bit more.

Alright, I'm inexperienced despite I've been on braingle for ages

Celt gave off no real vibes last round so not sure why he was eaten.

Nice vague message there GA about my post sticking out...yep I've really given away myself this time as a wolf eh?
Har's massive overreaction to the last orund cast real shadow on procedings as it gave no real scope for spotting jumpy votes

The late charge on Celt would have made sense if either had been a wolf but, no, and the eating is obviously a bad choice

Quiet players need a looking at, I'll plump for Koin for now ***It is changeable*** I feel the need to highlight that after Har's fit yesterday

Voting Koin

What does one thing have to do with the other? I know of a lot of long time users of the site who I can state for sure have never played the games. I wouldn't call GA inexperienced, he has played a lot.

Agreed that Celt is an odd choice to eat but unsure why he "had virtually no chance of being seer" - doesn't everyone have the exact same chance?

Not getting any strong vibes off anyone yet, no one is overly quiet or more activve than they normally are, everyone seems to me to be playing their usual game so far.

Will hold off my vote until others have had a chance to get on and voice their opinions. I have some stuff to take care of before leaving for work, but will have ample opportunity to be online there today.

EDITED: to fix formatting.

Celt was a bad eat for 2 reasons: 1) He could have been a relatively easy shot this round, and 2) He would have more aggressively defended himself if he were seer. Trust me on this one

Also it's not cool to tie someone in a majority for no reason

To what degree can you defend yourself in round 1 aside from voting for the competing majority?

HarryPutter wrote:

Says Mister Tie.

Right this game needs a bit of a kickstart before we drift into an oblivion... don't worry, I haven't been lured into playing Smithy's Gambit. Just adding a vote for koin, whose cautious diplomacy could be a similar tell to the one that always gives me away.

3 votes on me already? Yikes.

So, seeing as it is round 2, I don't have a whole lot of evidence in my favor. I think one of either smithy or Harry is a wolf, or both. Harry for insisting celt was a bad eating. Maybe he voted someone else, but the other wolf's votes were chosen? Smithy, because he voted me for "cautious diplomacy", which is more diplomacy than most others this game. If I'm understanding his post right.

Anyway, that's my take. I'll put a second vote on HP to try to save myself.

taking a much needed break

why are some people fair game and others or not?

i don't think coin, he was a wolf last game, just not thinking he is again(i know new game blah blah)

experienced inexperienced again blah blah

it is just a trend in dan's games if you are not in the "in crowd" your a gonner(i have no idea if that is spelled right gonner), of course the exception to that rule is sir poor guy

not really feeling jayo as a wolf either

so that is me, coin, jayo i think are human (of course i am usually wrong but thats where i am at right now)

So you're admitting you didn't understand the logic of keeping celt alive, and therefore are implicating yourself as a wolf? Well done, cj.

I'm not fair game because 1) I'm "ALWAYS human" (Source: Sirhar) 2) I make things interesting (Source: Every game I'm in only gets interesting when I'm active - let's be honest) 3) I give the humans a chance to win (Source: Every game I'm in also)

I have proven this time and time again

Putter how can you be so arrogant after the absolute trainwreck you had last game?

Deb I'm not sure who you're referring to as not being fair game, I can't really see anyone arguing along those lines. And you really do have to trust us on this, there is every bit as much chance of koin being a wolf AGAIN as anyone else.

Koin diplomacy is not necessarily a good thing in this game, I guess it's a kind of fence sitting similar to persistent defender where you don't look too wrong whatever happens. I tend to labour it when a wolf, and your post could conceivably go into the same category, I'm not sure if you'd have the same tell as a wolf but there really isn't much else to go on.

ok i will give you that

and really smithy also- who doesn't like a good accent and british humor

and it wasn't a whine nor a complaint..it is what it is

and i know every game starts fresh, but do you really think coin is a wolf??

edit

well i messed up the quote thingy

He only thing I mean about the celt eating is that there were better options in my opinion. What does that prove?

I'm not a wolf, guys. I'm two-legged, I swear. Dont shoot!

The wolves are in This group: harry smithy oc habs green,,, TRUST me on this one

Anyone up for a last-minute majority on golden?

Harry + Smithy -- Putter thought celt was a bad eat, this has come up in more than one post, maybe because he thinks smithy should have known better?
Harry + OC -- Another possible explanation. I feel like OC has been putting more effort in on this game, putters insistence on celt being a bad eat might make more sense with smithy.
There's way too many possibilities, ill come back to this if I survive the round.

There, that's all the tactics listed. Except jayo post, which I couldn't figure out.

Exactly what a wolf would say.

Of course I am included in the group, don't think we've ever played a game that you have not suspected me. Hey you may be right this time, eventually you'll have to be

I think one of either smithy or Harry is a wolf, or both. Harry for insisting celt was a bad eating.

So Harry is "possibly" a wolf for his statement that Celt was a bad eating?
I mean about the celt eating is that there were better options in my opinion. What does that prove?

But when you mention it, it means or proves nothing?

Jumping on the Koin vote as he seems to be pointing fingers in too many directions and just a feeling.

Responding to the edit: I think harry and smithy would be a possible wolf pair. Harry knows smithy is a really good player. If he thought Celt was a bad eating, he would be more likely to be mad or disappointed at smithy over another player.

The base was caught in the midst of a massive storm, The harsh Antarctic is no place for anyone to be caught outside even in the height of summer, but now, with powerful winds and temperatures far far below zero, it would only take a matter of minutes for one caught outside to risk exposure. These strenuous conditions were enough to wear on a man even under normal conditions, but with alien beasts hiding within plain site amongst the group, tensions were at an all time high.

The fingers were pointed at koin rather quickly, there was something about the guy that just didnt sit right. The gang began to get more and more suspicious of koin when he started saying random drivel, or as he called them "tactics" . The gang riled themselves into action, perhaps it was their need to do something decisive, perhaps with Har's death they just felt they couldnt let a good flamethrower go to waste.

They torched him up good.

He burned bright for a moment, a surreal sight among the icey blue wasteland outside the camp. Soon enough he was dead, the seering fire burning his flesh right down to his human bones

YOU SHOT A HUMAN
