Discussion of Round #3

Round: 0  1  2  3  4  5  6  7

Posted: 12:49PM Jun 12, 2013

The plant does not thrive in its new environment and appears to be dying. Seymour questions why it should be doing poorly, since he takes such good care of it. He accidentally pricks his finger on a rose thorn, which draws blood, and Audrey II's pod opens thirstily. Seymour realizes that Audrey II requires blood to survive and allows the plant to suckle from his finger ("Grow For Me"). As Audrey II grows, it becomes an attraction and starts generating brisk business for Mushnik. As the caretaker of the plant, Seymour has suddenly gone from loser to hero ("Ya Never Know"). Audrey's boyfriend beats her, and she reveals that she secretly has feelings for the timid Seymour. Her dream is to have the ideal suburban life with Seymour, complete with a tract home, frozen dinners and plastic on the furniture ("Somewhere That's Green").

Following the rousing rendition of Da Doo last round, I have decided to cast Limerick in the role of "the old chineese man". My favorite actors out there came to me late last night and convinced me to cast Shaidar in the role of Skip Snip. Both of these fine actors will also be in the general chorus for songs such as Downtown (Skid Row).

Roles are filling up quickly! We are almost done with general chorus type roles, so you are now guarenteed at least a few speaking lines. Some, like Skip Snip, even have a (very short) singing solo. Keep those dancing shoes on, because this next round will really start to separate the good from the great!

Somewhere That's Green

I know Seymour's the greatest
But I'm dating a semi-sadist.
So I've got a black eye
And my arm's in a cast.

Still, that Seymour's a cutie.
Well, if not, he's got inner beauty.
And I dream of a place
Where we could be together at last-

((Following spoken while music plays))
What kind of place is that, honey? An emergency room?
Oh no. It's just a daydream of mine. A little development I dream of.
Just off the Interstate. Nothing fancy like Levittown. Just a little street
in a little suburb, far far from Urban Skid Row. The sweetest, greenest
place- where everybody has the same little lawn out front and the
same little flagstone patio out back. And all the houses are so neat
and pretty... 'Cause they all look just alike. Oh, I dream about it all the
time. Just me. And the toaster. And a sweet little guy. Like Seymour-

((Back to singing))
A matchbox of our own
A fence of real chain link
A grill out on the patio
Disposal in the sink
A washer and a dryer and
an ironing machine
In a tract house that we share
Somewhere that's green

He rakes and trims the grass
He loves to mow and weed
I cook like Betty Crocker
And I look like Donna Reed
There's plastic on the furniture
To keep it neat and clean
In the Pine-Sol scented air,
Somewhere that's green

Between our frozen dinner
And our bed-time: nine-fifteen
We snuggle watching Lucy
On our big, enormous
Twelve-inch screen

I'm his December Bride
He's father, he knows best
Our kids watch Howdy Doody
As the sun sets in the west
A picture out of Better Homes
and Gardens Magazine
Far from Skid Row
I dream we'll go
somewhere that's... green

Ok I'm more than a little disappointed that shaidar9haran was eaten. Routinely I highlight posts to see if anyone has posted in white text and saw his little note to tell us that tuku was human. Our seer is gone. At least we have one clear. I was planning to seercide for you as soon as you had found us a wolf, but it seems the wolves saw your hidden message too. Mod Edit: Content removed. You should not be talking with people outside of the game about things that could influence play. Sky EDIT: Sorry Mocha, I always forget chat isn't allowed, talk turns to WWG all too often, it would serve me well that these casual conversations should not be mentioned in game. Won't happen again. No problem! Thanks for making an effort in the future. I know how easy it is to do.
I want to go on record that I meant no disrespect to any players last round, and I am never disrespectful to anyone. I apologise to anyone who may have felt this way, but there is absolutely nothing personal about the way I conduct myself in this game. As it is a game after all. I only say thing to perhaps help people in the future or explain things, my intent is not to be condescending. And on a personal note, I wasn't encouraging you [Limerick] to change who you are, but because this is a game, a game that revolves around deception, you will need to adapt to become good at the game. Just as any other game in life. It's nothing personal at all. I have changed in the way I conduct my posts vastly since I began playing, but I assure you, I haven't changed as a person!

Anyway, back to the matter in hand. I have one eye on krum and buu, as last round they seemed quite happy to allow the proceedings to pass without comment (I think we will all agree Lim was human). So I will place a holding vote on buu until we hear from others.

Wow!! One post all day. Where is everybody?

Anyhow, no real rush to vote since it would appear we have lost our Seer, and I do believe Sky. I realize he could be a wolf who happened to find shaidar's whited out message, but I don't think a wolf would call it to our attention.

There are about 16 hours left in the round. I'm probably going to bed soon, but I will be back in the morning. Hopefully there will be more input from everyone else. I'd especially be interested in what Buu and krum have to say.

I agree with you sky.... It is nothing personal.... It's just a game.

Anyways, there isn't much to say at this point. I'm am going to hold off on my vote. Night everyone!

Actually, I want to get a random vote in, just in case something weird happens in the morning and I can't get on in time. So I will just place a vote on dcf525.

Well, I will continue to semi-randomly vote for krum, with nothing else to go on...

Sorry, nothing to see here folks, keep moving.

Our Seer is apparently gone after only being able to identify one human. I'm going to have to be more diligent in checking for white posts since I missed Shaidar's message to us. At this point, I'm going to put in a vote for El-ahrairah after going through all the posts from the last round. Although I do have suspicions of a few others, I do not want to start a majority at this point. El has no votes and his posts have raised a red flag here and there with me. I'll check back in the morning to see if anyone has come up with anything I have missed.

SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

I am so sorry i have not been active this game. I am feeling very sick, and probably going to see the doctor this afternoon. Sorry about this guys, but I will be sure to vote and stuff, but just may not be up for conversing with other people.

kmrutledge, take care.

I just woke up... lol...

I completely missed the white words shaidar posted...

Without the seer, I see no point in putting in a random vote at this point, so I will just wait and see if there is anything weird and vote later...

wow. the seer did take a risk putting out their divination in round 2 itself. saw the whited out part only after skybet mentioned it.
dcf, you aren't contributing much to the discussion i guess. it'd help if you said why you voted for krum 'semi-randomly'

@skybet: i honestly don't know what you are expecting to come up with. some post filled with sudden enlightenment which will reveal the identities of all the players in this game? i wonder if i could pull that off somehow. just coz i don't post as long as you (which generally consists of the same thing repeated in different forms) doesn't mean i am not taking part in the game actively.

edit: i am putting a vote on faith for now. just some parts of her posts have had me suspicious for a while.

Seer or no Seer, I figure it's a bit late for random voting, or for votes without explanations. That said, I can understand that the lack of IDs does make it impossible to justify a vote with "They voted so-and-so, and they turned out to be human, ergo, they must be a wolf", so perhaps some are having trouble coming up with good reasons. (In the context of a shooting, as I'm aware that eating reveals humans.)

Now, I may be missing something, but I haven't seen anything from krum that strikes me as odd. In fact, I haven't seen anything from krum at all besides random votes. Seems she's come down a bad case of "real life", and it's getting in the way. (You ought to see a doctor about that, by the way. )

buu, on the other hand, I've been watching. He stated that he voted Limerick because he seemed suspicious, but never gave any reason as to why. This was after Limerick had already been called out by a few of us, and it was apparent that he would have a few votes thrown his way, even though he hadn't yet since some of us were holding our fire. Also, his post this round seems rather defensive, and wasn't so much an explanation or defense as it was a retort. I have a strong hunch that Sky is human, and I consider his reasonings to be sound, even though we were both mistaken about Limerick.

Voting buu this round.

buu, relax buddy, all I said was you allowed the round to pass without further comment beyond your inital vote, I in no way insulted you, your level of activity or quality of posts. I was referring to this as somewhat a tactic rather than laziness. So there is really no need to get so defensive and start inulting my posts. Why is everyone being so tetchy this game?

Bradon I feel is being a little OTT with the whole "I'm trying to work out who I can trust" angle, coming across a little wolfish to me. But as a WWG veteran, I feel I need a little more to go on before I start going after her.

I will check back on faith's posts but I don't feel on the whole she is being too defensive or coming off wolfish.

Check back later.

Hahaha... WWG veteran....

Sorry, but anyway, I do agree that some peopel in this game is very tetchy...(Had to google what that means)

I still have no clue who to vote for so I'm not going to place a vote yet, maybe not even one this round...

kmrutledge, hope you feel better!

As for the vote this round... Man, it's hard... I mean, really, what do we have to go off? Everyone randomly thinking everyone else is suspicious for whatever random reason (and oddly, A LOT of defensiveness in this game)...

My vote last round was for El-ahrairah... And I see that El-ahrairah and SkyBet are both currently voting for buu... I don't really have anything that makes me suspicous of buu (except for his vote for me... lol... JK)... So I don't know if I want to jump on the buu wagon....

My gut kinda tells me to vote for El-ahrairah again... But that would put us at a tie between buu and El-ahrairah (at the moment)... But I'm going to vote El-ahrairah...

Sorry Froggy... If you don't want a majority or a tie, you can change your vote (since you said you voted that way to not form a majority)... Hopefully we'll get more activity before the round ends, and we'll see where we end up...

I am really suspicious of buu this round. He is acting all defensive and it's starting to hurt his game play.

I don't really think that what sky said really made buu mad... Sky didn't even direct his comment to buu...

Something throws me off about this...

I am going to vote buu.

So sorry if I'm not playing the way you guys think I should. Perhaps I shouldn't be trusting Sky after all, but I can't forget that he did reveal the Seer's message and I just don't feel a wolf would have done that.

Anyhow, I'm inclined to agree the buu is the most suspicious, and that is based on excuses he seems to be making for his activity, and Sky and El-ahrairah both should know what I am talking about.

BTW, I don't mind a little suspicion thrown my way. Experience has shown me that it can be a good thing. The wolves like to keep those who have suspicion on them in the game to keep suspicion off of them.
