Aw! Happy Birthday Mocha xxxx

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm surprised at how often people disregard the rules for WTB. Last 3 games I've played, people still say they've voted after end of round. :rolls:
Anyways. Doesn't matter much considering only the mandatory was fired. So back to round 1 really. Is there any point trying to clear someone this round. Obviously we can't get an overwhelming majority, which in my opinion is a real waste of a round. I'll vote for Mathgeek for now. I tend to think bosses will say as little as possible during the rounds so they can coast to the final rounds.
I'm surprised at how often people fail at using smilies.
Sorry jervis I couldn't hel myself.
Anyway, story will be up soon.
I say we get a majority this round... If we can get 50% (or more, actually, since you have to account for the Boss/Rat lying about their votes), all the better...
So let's just decide who we want to clear, and go from there... Let's try to get everyone on the same page (they can't fire us all, and at least we'll learn something)...
So whats the point of being able to talk during the 'night' part of the round if you can't reveal anything? I'm not complaining, I just don't remember the reasoning behind that. I'm down to go for a majority this round, I'm leaning towards one of the younger members.
Safety vote for shaidar for now... have to go to work
A majority vote of 4 does tell us things... as long as everyone votes, and yes - declares the vote during the round. Last round the inactive got fired. If everyone votes, the boss is forced to fire someone who stated a vote. IF there is a majority vote of 4, he has to fire from that list, unless the majority was on him, then he fires from the other list. A majority vote of 4 is also boss and rat proof.
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOCHS!!!
I noticed something in the Boss message this round and went back through the last round to check something out. This round Boss message is: Lolcats
My first thought was that most people will either type lol or LOL but not Lol. In going through all the posts last round and so far this round (see 5th post above from jervis), there is only one person who has used Lol (and more than once). That person is jervis. Therefore, based on a possible Boss slip of a commonly used spelling, I'm voting for jervis
Edit: Vote for jervis confirmed and locked in.
We can still talk after the round ends, but you cannot state who you voted for once voting ends, per the rules:
Players may only discuss who they will vote for during the current round. Once the voting deadline passes, players may not say who they voted for or whether they voted for who they said they would vote for. Any violations of this rule will put those players on the firing list for rule infractions.
Interesting analysis, Froggy... Seems like a bit of a stretch, but ya never know...
I'm going to suggest (just a suggestion) we either clear Jervis or Froggy this round... Thoughts?
Interesting spot, froggy. It depends I suppose, what device people use to post. The phone I use when I'm away from the computer, capitalises the first letter of each sentence automatically, so that could be the reason. I will switch to form a strong maj if necessary.
Froggy nice pick up, although I would point out that it's probably more of a capitalizing the first letter of the word, which a lot of people do. That said I'm definitely down to form a majority this round, and I think jervis would be a good guy to clear, I'm officially voting jervis.
I agree in getting a majority this round, and jervis seems as good a guess as any due to the Lol thing, but also, if he is the boss, he could not have fired any of us who voted for him, and to fire anyone else would have given that away. So, my vote again is for jervis.
The fact remains, that the boss would have had like 3 firings available on a 15 person game. So by not firing two people who voted for Jervis, the boss lost 2 optional firings for the cost of clearing one person. It would have been a no-brainer for me if I was boss.
Changed my vote to Jervis, I think he could be the boss just because of that. Now there were 6. Need 8 to be rat proof, 7 good votes would be all that is needed to fire the boss if it is Jervis.
Darn, my computer also logged me out when I tried to post. Now let's see how good my memory is...
I will join the majority for jervis. Majorities are good for us.
Interesting point, froggy. It's not much to go on, but it's better than nothing! I tend to think of lolcats as a word (albeit a fake one) and LOL as an abbreviation. They occupy different realms in my mind, if that makes any sense.
Judging by the psych answer, our Boss doesn't seem to be much of a history buff. Seriously, of ALL the events that have EVER happened... *grumble grumble*
I'll check back in later.
EDIT: Vote confirmed.
Not defending Jervis, but I uses "lol" as "Lol" when I start it in a sentence, as if it's a word.
Ex:
"Lol, I agree."
But not...
"I agree, Lol."
So hm.
Now if you all had done this last round, we would have already cleared me and only 2 would have been fired considering the mandatory. ( @RGW, a majority of 4 is a waste in Round 1 only, I agree it usually reveals information but unless you get a clear majority first round, the boss fires all inactives and voila, nothing gained apart from maybe a slip up in a psych question. )
Again with 3 people yet to post a vote without >50% majority on me, if boss I wouldn't be fired. The inactives get fired and would have another wasted round. So thank you all for sharing the work and not leaving it up to just a few people.
My vote is locked so I will not be a mandatory!
Okay, posting time has come again, and here I go, come with me men.
To post a rhyme is so much fun, especially when work is done.
As for my vote, I am not sure, but within these lines, I to much will refer
First of all, regarding poor jervis, his Lol doth make me nervous.
I agree, it could be him, but also think it's going out a bit on a limb.
But still when there is little else, you must dust off what you have on the shelf.
I feel like analyzing, but will not go so deep now
As tired as I am, this is all I can..
Okay here we go then, on to clears, the time to reveal my vote, it nears.
I will give Shadows the benefit of the doubt, her praise for history, it seems devout.
Continuing on, I don't find much guilt, beneath the realm of mathgeek's quilt
It just does not seem that he would be, likely to say that he too is pinnable to the prompt, perhaps that's me
RGW, his musings seem curious, his level of analysis would make a boss furious
This clear... Rather weak be, but I am willing to grant it to thee.
Shaidar also, clear I find, his statements about night talking just don't fit the mind
Of a boss, I think, trying to figure out, how to get his employees all... Out
Well, at last we come, unto the end, risky it may be, but my vote is for jervis. My friend.
The info fits, I cannot acquit,
But still interested am I to see what comes, ready or not, here I come!
Not bad Limerick.
I think what is more curious is why our beloved mod Stewie never posted another storyline??? Could we be on the verge of ending game 5 the same as game 3 and therefore he wants to save his storyline for another game that lasts a bit longer? Another one of my musings.
No matter what happens with the end of this round, one thing is for sure... Jervis, you will be cleared or found.
Nice rhyming too RGW
Alas I am an employee. I figured few would change votes for me with only 5 hours left, so joked with Lolcats.
It will be interesting to see if we have 2 mandatories this round(Edit: I missed seeing 4wheels post, so likely just 1 mandatory unless boss/rat). Which means only 1 (now 2) person who voted for me will be fired. So I will need to stay clear of majority for next few rounds unless we can get a strong hit on who the boss is.
Ok so Limerick, I was trying to think if I was boss, how I would vote in round 1. Would I pretend to vote in a majority to make me look less likely as a suspect, or random vote so that there can be no evidence of my vote not counting? I think 9 times out of 10, I would pretend to vote majority so it looks like I'm helping, and knowing fully that I can't be discovered or fired. Don't know what others think on that.
Jboy, mocha, faith and I think Skybet? (Edit: yes confirmed) said they posted votes for me round 1. Provided they are not fired this round, maybe one of these should be our next target. Obviously with me being cleared I really can't do much except avoid a majority, so will have to sit on the side for a little bit.
Edit 2: of course, froggy pointed out the Lol thing, so perhaps boss or rat action there. Although I am less inclined to think the boss would do the dirty work to try and put suspicion on someone else outside of what they put in the memo.
