Welcome! If you like a real M u r d e r Mystery, then you'll enjoy this game . . .If you sign up, be prepared to be an active participant - as we all know, in WTB games, inactives are dealt with early on . . . If you don't vote . . . . well you know what happens. . .

In this game, there will be no psych questions, but there will be a Prompt each round that the Murderer has to address. I will write a "Murder Mystery" adding to it each round, including each rounds murder. I will NOT include any clues in the story line, so please do not look.

Once a Detective has been murdered, they have 1 opportunity to speak from the grave. They HAVE TO speak some time during the next Day Round. If they miss this opportunity, they do not get another chance. Please note, if the Rat is speaking from the grave, false information or poor advise may be given. Otherwise, if you are a detective, I expect you to be honest when speaking from the grave. With this said, consider messages from the grave carefully.

Good luck, and as always, if you are the Murderer, please be prompt with your prompts. It's really hard to run a tight game when someone becomes lax in their playing, Murderer, do not try to frame someone by being late with your prompt. . . . this is not the way to frame a fig. Anyone know where that quote came from? Well, at least part of it.

I have entered the room (crowd, you do not have to stand... wait... .... no wait, you do not have to leave! )

I hope everyone has a great week-end! I suspect this game will not fill up over the week-end as everyone seems to slip into a coma... but the weather IS starting to change, fall is in the air (for at least a week) and all is really messed up in the world. What else is new?

It's Friday night... tough week... with nothing planned this week-end but to finish mowing the yard (lawn mower told me to go into the house this afternoon after it finished cutting the front yard and almost half of the back yard and finish tomorrow - honest) and to help my son build some sets for a local Play-House.

lol I somehow read this as "finish moving the yard". Wondered how you planned on doing that. My yard is TINY but not sure I'd be able to move it.

Sunday evening and been pretty busy today as tomorrow is Thanksgiving here and of course everybody does their dinner today. Hope everyone else is having a great weekend.
To all my US friends Happy Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day/Native Americans' Day (apparently tomorrow is all three days there.

Hope the game gets underway soon.

Happy Thanksgiving Habs and to all our Canadian friends!

It took a while, but I finally fixed my lawn mower. I was surprised it only took a new spark plug... but if I really went by the internet, I would have had to almost rebuild the whole engine and the fuel system. One place, this guy was re-evaluating everything everyone else was saying about a problem that was similiar to mine... and he said, "Think about what happened, you just need to replace the spark plug and start your mower up". So, I bought a new spark plug and started my lawn mower right up. A $2.50 fix. Simple fix had I started with this website!

It definately was a slow week-end around here... not too many posts.

I think it would be best for all if I back out of the game. I am having hip surgery on Oct 16 and I do not think the game will start and finish by then and I would hate to ruin it for 19 other players and a great MOD if I were to be picked for the boss. I will catch your next one that I can Snow. Thanks Guys Y'all have fun

It is not a problem Snow, those of us who are regular players and who also mod, understand completely. It is getting there. I don't think most mods mind a plug Rhy, as long as it is not for a game competing with theirs for signups. I personally have never minded if I am doing a WWG if someone wants to plug a WTB game or vice versa. Ticks me off if they are trying to fill the same game as I am though. Those get deleted!

I do the same thing sometimes talanpoe. Early this year there was a group of like ten games where I would sit and wait for the game to start and get wrapped up in the discussion the first round and forget to vote and would be a mandie. There were even several people that noticed this.

If you're not on my friends list PM me and you're more than welcome to play. Remember to join either Rythmic's or Spider's games first though, as they started theirs before I did.

Back on topic, we seem to be fluctuating at 11 and 12, why can't people stay?

I know I play a couple games then take a break. To play it right, you need to take time to research and read up on the players. Plus I know some get tired of the lazy players who sign up, and then don't play.

I'm not sure that a player's activity level before the game starts (in this round) is at all indicative of how active they may or may not be in the game I tend to not participate much in the pre-game round but once the game gets going I am much more involved.

That is true Habs, but there are also some players who sign up... and are not logged in for over 3+ days. We all know they will be mandatory firings the first day, making it real easy for the boss to stay out of the limelight. If the mod could fire these people who have already been cleared by their non activity on Braingle during the first round - which automatically clears them as being boss anyway... it could help a game.

Okay that makes sense, I thought you meant people who just don't contribute much to the pregame rounds. I will never understand why ppl sign up for a game and then don't bother playing. I know people get busy, but really it only takes 5 minutes to log on and whip up a quick post nd vote. I suppose for some ppl they may not have access to a computer or whatever for a day but most have a tablet or a phone or other way to log on and say "Hey, sorry but . . .. " instead of just leaving us hanging. If I am not online for a day or more, I am most likely dead. , I have 2 desktops, 3 laotops, 2 tablets, 2 smartphones and a smart TV, so I have no excuse not to be on. I always have a internet enabled device on my person at all times.

I usually only post 1 to 2 times in the round 0 discussion too.

The perfect example of what I am talking about is mimsey's game that she did in June. Link to game

It was a 20 player game and there were 9 mandatories in round 1 and the boss didn't send the memo the second round. With what I suggested mimsey could have removed all those inactives before the game begun, active players could have joined and we could've had a fun game.

This is why I only mod private games. And although I do allow newbies in once in a while, I am weary to do this all the time. I get plenty of requests through pm's but most are from peeps that I do not know. All it takes is one person become inactive that is actually the boss. . . . . and bam, the game is over. And who likes several mandatories during the first few rounds, except the boss and rat.

2 more to go!! Welcome those that have just recently joined!!!!!
