Story
It is a cold, dark night, and the wind howls out of control. Your small village of only 50 has fallen quickly to only 21 people. The abrupt decline has been brought on by the presence of a Witch, and all the remaining villagers actively hunt for this murderer. As you search through the dark of the night for clues as to the Witch's whereabouts, you hear a scream pierce the air. You run as fast as you can in hopes of saving a life, but the villager is already dead, and the murderer nowhere to be seen. You see four sets of footprints, other than your dead friend, and know instantly that the Witch has drawn followers, devoted to killing or converting the heathens of the town. You stare in shock and disbelief, and a loud cackle erupts from the crowd of now 20 people, and you know the Witch and the followers are in your midst. For every four people, there is one traitor. You think... Who will you trust? Who can you trust? A raven emerged from the thick foliage around and dug its talons into the dead flesh. No one you can trust... Or can you? Only time, your wits, and cunning will tell.
Throughout the day, the villagers attempt to track down the killers. As they continually turn up less and less evidence, they grow increasingly angry, spitting vile remarks in the direction of the town's guards, blaming them for the attacks, commenting on their ineptness at protecting them and their town. By the end of the day, the villagers have worked themselves up to the point of unjustified murder, and kill one of the guards, Smithy, as he has seemed distant and unwilling to help the town. They soon come to their senses after blood has been spilled, and seem to feel terrible. As the daylight fades and darkness closes in, the villagers return to their homes, each hoping they would not be the next to die. The guard Captain makes her midnight rounds, and shady figures descend upon her from all sides. She is soon dead, and justice is forever gone in this town.

Night seems to have timed out. Doesn't really implicate anyone, as everyone has been online at some point since yesterday.
Not sure I totally agree with that statement Mr. Innkeeper, but I do agree it appears the night did time out, and unless we do have an inactive wolf there really was no need for them to just let the night time out. Anyhow that's my thoughts right now, but will wait for masoni's post before I make any firm decisions, so I will say goodnight now and be back in the morning.

I was wondering why the long night but I think the wolves might have been worried about Longhorn's won't be back on till Monday comment. Anyway, just fishing for now.

Well, there isn't much of a reason I could see for the wolves to take out guamgirl. She didn't say much last round and she voted randomly for kajish.
I would like to see the mod's post and what everyone else thinks before casting a vote, so I will be back on tomorrow. =)

Hi everyone, I will post in a little bit, as I am a tad busy. I will have an update tonight.
Good evening! Sorry to see Guam go. No thoughts on who might be suspicious. And Guam to be the first pick to be eaten? Hrmmmmm.
I shall go make some horseshoes. See you in the morning!

I have been incapacitated apparently, and I'm not allowed to vote this round! Don't vote me out because I'm not voting!

"unjustified" . Smithy was sleeping on the job, my company has 'terminated' employees for less. Anyway, have no serious thoughts on anyone yet. Maybe tonja, jumping at the chance to defend Smithy knowing it might make her look good? But don't get bent out of shape about it just a passing thought
well i don't know what our innkeeper was looking at but when i checked last (maybe about an hour left in the night round) we had 3 that where not on "today"
they could be on yesterday when night started, i don't know...that requires to much thought
poor apples has been muzzled
blink once for yes, twice for no
going to chop some wood will be back later to hear what the rest of the folks have to say

The talkboxes are quite dead... What's going on?
Sorry guys I have been busy for the past few days, but I did indeed come on to read the posts and search for the clues. I have not been inactive, so there really is no need to start pointing the gun at me.
Well you didn't post or vote, you were inactive, regardless it's a fish vote so let's not go overboard here
lol

Don't we have to vote or the Witch gets a free divination or something of the sort? 7 hours left. Why isn't anyone else voting?
Hey guys. Dealing with a nasty cold and just not up to reading through this round. So I will SPV for Talanpoe this round. I should be in better shape next round.
Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love.

I suffered from some heat stroke last round so I can't vote.
But the hesitation to vote from some people is interesting

Okay, then maybe HP's inability to vote has some merit, but what is the legal reason for GA not being able to vote? Strange choice of words:
Incapacitated - in·ca·pac·i·tat·edin·ca·pac·i·tat·ing
Definition of INCAPACITATE
1
: to make legally incapable or ineligible
2
: to deprive of capacity or natural power : disable
— in·ca·pac·i·ta·tion noun
As a member of the City Council, I believe I would be aware of any legal proceedings or legislation enacted to warrant such an event, so I am really confused. I tried to ask my question at the Council meeting, but I seem to be the only member to attend, so I'm bringing it to the townspeople. What is going on? We need to end this madness and find these cult members and their Witch leader before any more good citizens are murdered. The only solution I can come up with is to look with suspicion on anyone who was missing during the night and who has appeared with the light of day. So, for now I'll point an accusing finger at the Blacksmith, but of course like any good politician, I reserve the right to change my mind before this day ends.

I'm not sure I want that witch to get a free divination so I am going to add to the votes with a vote for snowmonster.
Who has the power to incapacitate me? And why would they incapacitate me?
It must be the witch, but isn't that only supposed to happen after the third round.
The who is the big question but the why is what has me asking the questions. Does the witch have that power? If that is the case, then there is no hope for any of us as long as the witch lives. Why were GA and HP being silenced? Do they know something? Does the Mayor have that power? Or could it be the Jailor who so far has chosen not to speak have that power? This gets more mysterious by the minute.

ok from the rules it can't start(the hex) until round 3
hold on

Maybe Green caught a bad fish? Or maybe he or one of the wolves did it to him themselves, to take suspicioun of him. Doubt it, but I see no reason for the use of incapacitation so early, but I'm not up to speed on the circumstances or mechanics of the usage.
Will reevaluate before end of round and probably change my vote but not sure haha

i don't see any other reason according to round 0 for harry or apples to act this way...very curious
and i thought there was only a hex not an incapacitation
odd
will vote

Why are all the votes clustered on people 'participating'. Seems odd so early. I imagine Harry's incapacitation was some kind of drawback to the framer role, maybe just a random occurance, he certainly didn't work himself into heatstroke last round
Still will hold off a little longer, maybe we'll get some more contributions coming in

Hey hey, just gathering some materials for my stories, should probably share one of them with you all soon, perhaps tomorrow night to ease the terrors
Maybe the side affect of the hex was a kind of paralysis that stops participation? Dunno
Not sure why night was left to time out, pretty lame tactic and fairly pointless when there was nobody to frame
Voting for a random
If GA and HP have been silenced, then they at least are likely not the Witch

Edit: HP voted Smithy and GA didn't vote last round, so I don't see any burning reason why people would want them "silenced". Maybe it's a matter of some ability one or two people have where they can "silence" people each round?
Wait... all this is assuming they're not lying about being "silenced".

Not true. We don't know who "silenced" them or the circumstances involved. It's obviously some people's "special powers", but I'm not sure whose. Could be cult members, could be regular humans. One of them could also be the Witch, trying to throw us off.Does anyone know the powers associated with each of the roles?

After re-reading through posts, I have decided to vote for talanpoe. His very last post last round started with him talking about inactive players being helpful for wolves, and it ended with him switching his vote to the inactive. It seems that is quite contradictory behavior. If he felt strongly about his stance, he would have voted for the inactive much earlier on. Grasping straws, I know, but it seems out of place.

i don't recall in round 0 about any special powers

With a few exceptions, the identities each have their own power, which will be PM'd to the player by me upon choosing the role.
I don't know who to vote for. I don't understand, why has talanpoe been on but not posted or voted. Why did superleaf come by to state he was not inactive...but not contribute anything? I'm reluctant to come to talanpoe's aid a second time. Although I don't agree with WittyKitty stating he contradicted himself, his post last round did seem a little iffy. Deb why are you voting Chunnie? Is it just a fish? The game's a lot easier for everyone if people would explain what they are doing/thinking
I don't know, still thinking
Hmmmm...have some thoughts about the freezing of Harry and Green, though both could have directed us to who they would have LIKED to vote for if able? Not sure if I can articulate them in 15 minutes though so I think I'll pass haha. Could join Bradon's vote for Tonja, but not feeling great about Bradon either . I think I'll help out Talan again, if he's a wolf, I guess I'll deal with whatever comes with it
I am somewhat suspicous of Chunnie as well, it seems unreasonable to leave your vote on Green at this juncture. Though he may be a wolf, it seems less likely at this point, at least enough to give him the benefit of the doubt until things start sorting out. Also, the Inkeeper seems like a role that could 'incapacitate' someone. Anyway, I'm off, hopefully things work out!

3 mins left. She ^ has more questions than me.
And I'm leaving my vote on GA because I'm always suspicious of GA. The one time I stopped being suspicious of him, he turned out to be a wolf.... again.
Edit: My role does have an ability, but I'd rather not use it until later on in the game. That's all I'll say on that.
