Thank you kindly. Sorry about the difficulty of the clues. I'm not going to update the story at this point, as it would take a very nasty turn for the villagers if I did... The cultists are most definitely ahead here anyway. Recheck my posts (NOT the main ones at the top; the ones throughout the rounds). This might give you a hint as to my clue in the story which was fairly massive especially for being at the beginning of the game. This may not help you much at this point, but take into consideration the voting list when it was first put up. Now it's more about prevention of a wrongful killing.
Story
It is a cold, dark night, and the wind howls out of control. Your small village of only 50 has fallen quickly to only 21 people. The abrupt decline has been brought on by the presence of a Witch, and all the remaining villagers actively hunt for this murderer. As you search through the dark of the night for clues as to the Witch's whereabouts, you hear a scream pierce the air. You run as fast as you can in hopes of saving a life, but the villager is already dead, and the murderer nowhere to be seen. You see four sets of footprints, other than your dead friend, and know instantly that the Witch has drawn followers, devoted to killing or converting the heathens of the town. You stare in shock and disbelief, and a loud cackle erupts from the crowd of now 20 people, and you know the Witch and the followers are in your midst. For every four people, there is one traitor. You think... Who will you trust? Who can you trust? A raven emerged from the thick foliage around and dug its talons into the dead flesh. No one you can trust... Or can you? Only time, your wits, and cunning will tell.
Throughout the day, the villagers attempt to track down the killers. As they continually turn up less and less evidence, they grow increasingly angry, spitting vile remarks in the direction of the town's guards, blaming them for the attacks, commenting on their ineptness at protecting them and their town. By the end of the day, the villagers have worked themselves up to the point of unjustified murder, and kill one of the guards, Smithy, as he has seemed distant and unwilling to help the town. They soon come to their senses after blood has been spilled, and seem to feel terrible. As the daylight fades and darkness closes in, the villagers return to their homes, each hoping they would not be the next to die. The guard Captain makes her midnight rounds, and shady figures descend upon her from all sides. She is soon dead, and justice is forever gone in this town.
Two days and nights go by very quickly, with 4 more innocents killed. The numbers of the good are waning, and the cult is gaining more power. With no law enforcement, chaos runs rampant through the streets. The members of the village opted to kill the strangers, believing they had brought this curse with them. You think back to the raven three days previous, pecking the eyes from your fallen friend. Who could be true to your town? What hope have you?
The townsfolk point the gun at the local blacksmith, ready to pull the trigger. As they do, all they hear is a click and the gun does not fire. The blacksmith, fearing for her life throughout the day, rigged the gun so it would not fire. As you try to fix the gun, it unexpectedly fires, killing jubu, the local merchant. As the merchant collapses, the sky suddenly goes dark, and a sinister laugh fills the air. A dark, ominous shape rises from the body; the witch's spirit. You quickly erect a pyre, and throw the body upon it, hoping to kill the witch's spirit. You've finally killed the witch, and you are all now safe. You all return to the local inn for some dinner, and return to your homes, relieved it's finally over. Outside your windows, the light of the flames burns more brightly than ever. You hear a scream and rush outside to look. The body of the blacksmith lays before the pyre. The cultists are still active, attempting to avenge the witch's death. However, the witch is displeased, and as it's spirit dies, it utters hints to the identities of the cultists.

Sorry about missing most of the round, I looked at the clues during the night and they really are tough. I'm honestly not sure what to think right now, so I'll be waiting for Masoni anyway.
In hindsight, I realize I should have thought more about my vote for snowy last round before I placed it. I thought it was going to end in a tie. It didn't even occur to me that ICU could have voted snowy after to kill her off. Snowy better be a wolf, otherwise I'm going to look very suspicious.
As for the clues, I spent some time on a few of them, but haven't found anything definitive thus far. These are the main things I came across
1. Japan is known as the land of the rising sun. This could be pointing to one of Japan's allies in WW2, most likely Germany or Italy. But I don't see how "reproach quickly follows" comes into it.
2. Didn't really focus on this. Don't know where to start really.
3. The first result of a google search for "Daniel's obelisk" yields something about Obelisk International (which specializes in Brazilian property investments) sponsoring a golf challenge to raise funds for The Rhys Daniels Trust (a UK charity). Not sure how this relates to anybody in the game.
4. The 2nd result in a google search for "Stanley's shield" is something about Morgan Stanley undergoing a downgraded credit rating and searching for a "subsidiary shield" to limit the fallout of the downgrade. I was thinking the clue points to some product manufactured by one of the subsidiaries it used as such a shield. I couldn't find which subsidiaries they actually used, but I did come across a pdf with an 18 page long list of all Morgan Stanley subsidiaries. Needless to say, I didn't pursue that.

Oh how I love my clues. I think only one was ever solved correctly in any of my games. I'd suggest not searching for what I have written, but rather research things about your fellow players, and try to make links from there. I made sure a Google search wouldn't turn up anything
...I have no idea what you're talking about mason. I'm going to try and take your advice here
From round 4, Masoni wrote:
The gun has been unexpectedly rigged to fire inaccurately, thus killing the second in line.
And one way you all may have gotten clues is by reading into the story. major clearing clues!
Or not shooting all but one Witch Hunter! (or having those people be active )
That text was in white...so the story can clear some people apparently. Chunnie is pretty much cleared imo, still need to think things through.
I think #1 could point to Jayo because after searching his sig, it said it was from "The Wheel of Time" series which has "the Palace of the Rising Sun in Splendor". Works? He has my vote anyway

Well not gonna blame you for the incredibly weak link Putter but ur off!!
You think that the Mod Googled my signature, then found a really obscure part of the WoT (I have no idea what the palace of rising sun in splendor is and I have read the series twice!) to link to me??
Need something more solid in LYLO HP
The clues aren't really meant to be Googled, but I think the second one points to ICUB as the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42, and that appears in the username

Wow, Jayo I think you are right
In Corners Under floorBoards you will find the meaning of life. Im not sure the origin of the 42 thing but ive heard it before. That's where I'm voting, despite my statements earlier about ICU probably being human

Apparently I can't vote this round. Something about my Inn being on fire.
Back in a while. Let me see if I can put this out.

Oh, it's even, In Corners Under Baseboards....I'd say that's pretty open and shut pointing to ICU
Agh that's the hitchhikers guide thing for the meaning of life, "42". Voting ICU

That does clearly point at ICUB. I will be casting a vote her way, too.

I feel stupid for allowing ICU to get away last round.
Okay i guess I'll go with y'all

Did kajish forget to vote?
15 minutes left. I was hoping there would be some more discussion of the other clues before the round ended.
I just came out of class. Didn't get to spend any more time on the clues myself this afternoon. At this point, my main suspicions for the other 3 wolves are Jayo, deb and dangerouspie, though I'm not sure about kajish and WittyKitty. Can't state tangible reasons why, but I think HP and ka-ching are human.
